Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

I have eaten in and ordered to go several time at this location.On several occasions my to go order was not correct and was always cold and the food was not that good.The food in the restaurant was better but no as good as the South Austin Tx location is!!!!!!!!

Major disappointment!

Rudy’s BBQ has long held a reputation as a go-to spot for authentic Texas barbecue. With several locations across the state, it's a name that evokes mouthwatering memories of perfectly smoked meats and signature sauces. Unfortunately, my recent visit to this particular Rudy’s location was a stark departure from those expectations.

The star of any BBQ joint, the brisket, was a major letdown. Typically, Rudy’s moist brisket is tender, flavorful, and richness that practically melts in your mouth. But what I encountered here was a brisket that was rubbery, almost as if it had been boiled rather than smoked. The texture was off-putting, lacking the usual bark and smokiness that makes Rudy’s brisket such a delight. Instead of the juicy, succulent experience I've come to expect, this brisket was dry and disappointingly bland.

If you go to a Texas barbecue restaurant that supposedly “smokes” their own brisket and they say they don’t have burnt ends, walk away, it’s boiled meat.

Until this location steps up its game, I’d recommend you make the drive to another Rudy’s location closer to Austin/Round Rock.

Service is great but the meat is lacking flavor. Being in Central Texas there's plenty of better BBQ places.

Parking: Tons of free parking even during rush hours.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly atmosphere.

Wheelchair accessibility: Entrances are wheelchair friendly and almost all the tables are wheelchair accessible.

They have excellent customer service however, the meat is bland and the bbq sauce taste has too much tomatoes paste. I prefer a Buceee pull pork sandwich.

Good BBQ quick. Rudy's has become our baseline for evaluating BBQ. My wife loves their loaded baked potatoes and I love the pulled pork or spicy chop sandwiches.
