“Service is always great at this location, food is right damn near, if not everytime I go. (Maybe had a mistake on 1 or 2 orders). Employees are always friendly to me and my family members. Food is almost always fresh as well, only complaint I could even make is they occasionally run out of baja blast, however that hasn't happened in quite some time. Overall great experience.

Vegetarian options: Lots of options to choose from, especially with the cheesy potato tacos becoming a mainstay, and you can easily make substitutions if you want something from the regular menu made vegetarian.”

“Had an amazing meal last night at Belly of the Beast! Our second visit after a wonderful experience last weekend. Liz was a joy to meet and Heather took excellent care of us both evenings. We opted to try the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu which was a fabulous way to try different dishes. And honestly, at $39 person, that’s a steal of a deal. Their wine list is unique. Highly recommend the BASKOLI white wine from Spain if you enjoy something light, crisp & ever so slightly effervescent. For appetizers we tried the tuna tostada & the grilled peach burrata. Seconds we had the birria tacos & calabacitas. And our mains were the carne asada & roasted chicken. Everything was incredibly flavorful & beautifully plated with generous portions for mains. Service was top notch. We can’t wait to return to this gem. Truly a wonderful experience start to finish.”

The fries were so good (and an enormous portion!) and the burger was super juicy - had the seasonal cocktail (some simple cider deliciousness) but wanted it non-alcoholic and Shane made it happen AND didn’t charge me full price since I wasn’t buying the vodka too ❤️❤️ We will definitely be regulars!!”

“This restaurant's food is very acceptable. I had the grilled meat plate and it was freshly made and well-grilled. I did not feel the taste of Turkish food, sumac and Turkish spices taste were missing. I guess they want to please a certain crowd, the casserole, steak and potato eater. However, the meat was good, tender and well grilled. I had the plate of appetizer and they were all good. The only down side is the price. My bill was $62.00. I only had a tea with my lunch. Had I ha al kebab and a drink, my bill would have been at least $35.00 which is really expensive for lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. I was in Dubai recently and found the food to be as expensive as here, but everything they serve you is the highest quality and so good you could die the next day happy! Which is not the case here.”
