“Our “Sunday Adventures” brought us to Athena’s Corner. We have been searching for authentic Mediterranean food since coming back from Israel that was a closer to home and without driving into Houston. Athena’s Corner is the best by far in this search.Edit2nd visit:We really liked our first selections from the 1st visit but wanted to try other selections from the menu. For appetizers, we tried the KeftedesMeatballs, Falafels & Dolmades Ladoregano. The meatballs were interesting but smaller portions than expected. The Falafels were small, slightly over cooked (maybe we are spoiled from our Israel trips) but had a good taste. For entrees we had Large Greek Salad with Gyro & Chick Pea Salad with Gyro. For dessert we had the Ravani which was amazing!First Visit:Everything from the appetizer to dessert was excellent. We ordered the Dolmades Ladoregano and Hummus for Appetizers. For main dishes, we ordered Chickpea Salad and the Gyro Plate. For dessert, we shared a Chocolate Mousse Cake.We will definitely be back soon!“

“Absolutely delicious food! Best lamb gyro I've ever had, the quality and quantity is mesmerizing. They recently moved to their new location and took out the Wael's burger from the menu which was my boyfriend's and friend's favorite, very sad about that, that would be the only negative thing to say, I hope they bring it back soon.Otherwise absolutely amazing!“

“I enjoy the place. It's, for the most part, quiet and relaxing. Although the food may take a while to be served, the customer service here is decent, and the workers make sure to always be in touch and ask questions in case you need something. Do be aware that the food here is somewhat pricy, but if you want to eat something unique or want to diversify your taste, I do recommend this place. I give it a four out of five.“

“I accidentally ordered online (check #22 for the gyro plate, feta gyro salad, and lamb shank) at the wrong location on Thursday 03/28 at the League city location instead of the Katy location. So I called in to request the order be canceled. The hostess or restaurant manager said she canceled it but I still got charged. I never received an email or text message from Toast confirming the cancelation, and my credit card still got charged.UPDATE:I called in again and the manager took care of the refund. We enjoyed the food and customer service always tries to make things right!“

“We visited this place for the first time today, we take our motorcycle out on Friday morning to different cafe type places to eat breakfast, this place is great, service was great, food great, if you order anything with a biscuit ( heads up they are gigantic cat head biscuits, the biggest I have ever seen and taste very good) Thank y'all for a great food experience!“
“Quiet, small restaurant with really nice food! I ordered pork + chicken kabob plate and it was quite nice! I really enjoyed how tasty the tzatziki sauce was. I've also had the lamb gyro before and it was good. Great healthy and homemade food in the neighborhood!“

“Usually this is my favorite Greek place. Unfortunately my favorite dish, Saganaki the flaming cheese, tasted like very old oil. We also got the sampler platter and it was good for the most part, the spankapita had the same old oil taste and was inedible.“

“Parking: A lot depends on time when goi g to Bbi's. I have been there at 11 and. O problem, been there at 530 and no problem. But go at noon and I have seen no spots open. It just depends on the day and the hour.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking lot has no built in barries and easy smooth transition to front walkway and door“

“In my personal experience, it has been quite some time since I have indulged in a Greek gyro. Today, I made the decision to visit Gyro Guys in La Porte. To succinctly summarize my experience, I would use the term "exceptional." I had been eagerly anticipating a gyro and am pleased to report that this was an unexpected delight. The superior quality, texture, and distinctive flavor of the succulent lamb/chicken platter, complemented by tzatziki sauce, vegetables, and a side of pita bread, were truly remarkable.I would like to express my gratitude to Carliee (with two "E's") for her recommendation of the medium platter, which proved to be the optimal choice. The gyro cheese fries were delightfully crispy and delicious. While the restaurant was clean, the ambiance appeared somewhat outdated. A renovation of the interior and some minor aesthetic adjustments to the decor would be beneficial. In conclusion, I strongly recommend Gyro Guys in La Porte to anyone seeking a novel culinary experience. Your taste buds will undoubtedly express their appreciation.“
