“We came to the base to visit my brother, and he recommended coming to this plaza for lunch. I haven't eat popeyes for a long time. The chicken and fries were good! My brother was excited to eat here since his meals during training weren't that good. It gets very crowded here during lunch time, so you may have to go somewhere else to sit down and eat. We got lucky and found a table in the starbucks area.”

“Got breakfast here. They have a weird way of ordering food where you have to order at the golf store and then walk over to the Cafe. Food was overall what I expected, not a 5 star meal but decent enough. I noticed the staff really don't look like they want to be there.”

It's like a one stop shop that provides computers, pamphlets, brochures, financial advisors, and just plain goodness for things military wise. Here at JBSA-LACKLAND, it provides all of the same and more. Young and older military would do well to stop in and find out what they have to offer.”

“Qdoba is my go-to spot when I'm craving a quick and delicious meal. The food is consistently great, I always leave satisfied! But honestly, what really makes the place special are Ronny and Bianca. Whenever I see either of them working the line, I know I'm in for a great experience. They're both super friendly and always make me feel welcome. If I happen to pop in and see anyone else behind the counter, I'll usually just head somewhere else.”

“The food is ok at best, my family and I ate there this last weekend as a quick stop. We dined in to ensure the freshness of the food would be hot. What we thought would be a great meal turned out to be something that we were all left wanting something else. None of us finished our meal for many reasons. The juice soaked through the buns so fast that it became a soggy mess that actually would have been better off eating with a fork. I asked for no lettuce or tomatoes on mine and got lettuce and no pickles.The flavor of normal was way off on the fries like the oil had not be changed in a good while. There was an overwhelming smell of burnt food at the counter when ordering that was a bit of a turnoff as well which may have caused the partial loss of appetite. Top all of that off with folks taking your order consistently clearing their throat to the point you could hear the congestion really set things off for us. To make things even better, none of the fountain drinks were working and we were stuck to having the lemonade. But as a side note, the lemonade is likely the best thing at this location!”

“Went to dinner before the Tobin show. New fall menu. The buttternut squash soup was delicious 😋 and served hot. Unfortunately the quinoa harvest salad with roasted beets, butternut squash, pepitas, and goat cheese was only greens…. Minus the other listed ingredients. Our waitress Brook was notified and said the cook staff that made the salad broke up with his girlfriend and sad! 😔 well we were sad and disappointed ☹️ and no compensation offered. The chicken Caesar salad was delicious. 😋 Hopefully no one else will get the same poor quality fall salad ! Beware ! 👻 trick or treat???!!!”

“I got the Pooh Bear sandwich and it was delicious. I’m already thinking about the next time I can get one. This place is very cozy and homey. The service was incredible . Jeremiah customer service was excellent. He was kind and welcoming. And you could tell he loves what he does. I can not wait to come back and get another Pooh bear. Also the coffee he serves there is spectacular. 10/10”

“I tried Smith’s BBQ for the first time today and it’s a bit of a mixed review. I had the four meat sampler (brisket, ribs, sausage and chicken) with green beans and baked beans. The ribs were good but not memorable and the brisket was a bit chewy BUT, the sausage and chicken were EXCELLENT. The baked beans were simple but perfect. They reminded me of a family picnic. In my opinion, the green beans were OUTSTANDING and the star of the show. Very unique flavor that hit the taste buds like WOW! I’ll definitely go back for double chicken with green beans and baked beans!”
