“We found Pap's by trying out places by our new place in Lakehills and immediately loved the food. The service is awesome and this place is definitely a hidden gem. Tonight they were able to accommodate a last minute large party of 26! They did not disappoint! They were friendly, food was great, and staff came to regularly check on us. Five Stars!!!”

“On our way home from a bible study, we ordered 4 bacon and egg breakfast tacos, and when we got there saw the "Cash Only" sign in the window. Oh, know! I don't normally have much cash on hand and didn't have any this morning. Martine said take the tacos and when you come by sometime I could pay him. Martine doesn't even know me but trusted I would come back. I had a Home Depot Gift Card with $18 )left on it so I gave it to him and told Martine I would be back to pay for my tacos and would do just that. He was so gracious and didn't need to let me have those tacos. We took them home and they were very good the tortillas were so full of eggs and a lot of bacon in each taco we will definitely come back again”

“I stopped by for the first time and was seriously impressed. The tacos were a good size, definitely not stingy, and the asada was packed with flavor. You can really tell they put care into their seasoning and prep. The vibe was welcoming, the service was great, and everything came out fresh. Also, I don’t get why people are complaining about drink prices, it’s the same or even cheaper than what you’d pay at a restaurant in SA. For the quality and flavor you get here, it’s more than worth it.”

“Just drove there from San Antonio to enjoy some authentic German fare. One of the staff is from West of Munich. We all had wonderful, authentic Jagger Schnitzel, red cabbage, cucumber salad, spaetzle. We (6 of us) all loved it. We will be back for the curry wurst and pomme fritz. Large portions, good prices, very clean and a great outdoor setting. Luckily a nice breeze to eat outside.”

“This time I dined in, the last two I had take out. All three times! The service and food were amazing. Freshly made pizza crust and very fresh ingredients in the pizza and salads. I watched them cut veggies for our salads. I have a new Bandera favorite. I will be going again very soon.”

“I have fallen in love with OST all over again. While trying one of the newer restaurants in town (new as opposed to the town regulars) I found that no matter how I asked for my steaks to be cooked, medium well, I always got medium rare. What I ordered they never got it right. My steaks were cooked 3 out of 3 times medium rare when I requested medium well. I have since gone back to OST and I'll be dang but, we order close to twice a week from them, and they haven't gotten any of our orders wrong. My steak is always medium well and tender. So, my bad for trying a new place. Why replace a restaurant that has gr8 service, gr8 food and gr8 prices. I've learned my lesson, and it will always be the OST from here on out. Thanks, OST, for the care you have given to our orders that I place by phone for pick up.”

“After passing through Lakehills, I was reading places to have a nice drink after looking at a few overpriced homes and I Seen a review on this bar. I had to stop and check it out. The review was spot on. I recommend stopping if ever in Bandera TX. It was basically a book review. Hahahaha. But I loved it. I will definitely be back for their steak night. Before heading back home to Helotes, I decided to stop at the Schotts on 16. That’s my next review.”
