Tita’s Kitchen is a small Mexican restaurant that started as a food truck and earned its way to a place in Lamesa, Texas. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and instantly makes a guest feel at home. The staff are attentive, friendly and treat each person like family. The food is authentic, homemade tortillas, chilaquiles, potatoes, beans and brisket that come out hot, fresh and full of flavor. Every dish tastes generous, comforting and clearly made with care. The portions are generous and the quality never cuts corners. Service is incredible, quick and the love and dedication in every dish can be felt. Guests describe the chilaquiles as packed with flavor, the potatoes as crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and seasoned like an abuela supervised each cube. The beans are smooth, rich and comforting, while the brisket is tender, smoky and almost emotional. The consistency of taste makes a first visit feel like a Sunday breakfast with family and a fifth visit feel the same great taste. Open Wednesday through Saturday, this place is a must try for anyone passing through or visiting Lamesa home.
