“Felt like we were back home in Chicago eating great food and large portions, the gravy for the Italian beef was phenomenal. This place was very well worth the drive. The owners were so welcoming and kind. They talked to us all like they knew us. It was a wonderful experience. I have no complaints and will Definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting delicious food. Thank you for making us feel so happy with good food. My kids loved the place too ☺️“

“JK’s is a great spot for a traditional hot dog or beef sandwich that remind me of my visits to Chicago when I was a kid! I love an old school Chicago dog! The owners are always there and are very nice people! I think this is the type of food that’s best when eaten immediately so stop in and get a quick bite with the kids that’s made to order!“
“Definitely recommend. Probably the best burger I have had in San Antonio (sourdough bun--the way it should be). Fantastic outdoor area with a full playground, picnic tables, outdoor bar with beers on tap, and a covered stage. We live in the neighborhood and are excited for live music nights. Really hoping they get good business and are here to stay.“

“We have been coming to the Angry Elephant and Roo Pub for the last 8 years, The past 3 years the Angry Elephant became headquarters to the Alamo City Bolts "LA Chargers" Thanks to Chip who has always treated us like family and Mike Tejeda who made sure we were taken care of during the games, We can't say enough for the staff they have assembled other then excellent and family.The FOOD is great we favor the snacks like Nacho Fries and the wings. We've tasted almost everything on their menu and never disappointed.The Atmosphere is beyond reproach, Easy going, kids are allowed I believe up to 9pm, Dart Boards, Pool Tables and Trivia games, make it a point to visit you won't be disappointed“

“Went with family last night and had some great food! This place exemplifies San Antonio cuisine. They even bring out cups of hot, delicious fideo before the meals, along with the standards chips and salsa that's common in the area. I know it looks like you won't get much from this little spot in a strip mall, but trust me it takes a lot to impress this gringo gordo.“

“I came to this five guys location for a pick up order at 2:00pm on a Wednesday and had to wait another 15 minutes for my food to be ready. The restaurant seems to be understaffed which is why it took a while. Employees were friendly and the food was good. At least there are free peanuts to snack on while you wait.“

“My husband and I just came here on Sunday after a long day and wanted to grab something quick on our way home. I haven't been to five guys in awhile and I was amazed how good it was. I remember it being greasy and soggy but the burger e was DELICIOUS. Best five guys I've had. They were so quick too. Definitely wanna come back again soon. Love this location.“

“Hadn't been here in 13 plus years. I won't make that mistake again. Decided to jump over on a Saturday night about 6:15. Not very crowded yet. Order the chili cheeseburger that came with fries and a drink. Great decorations in this location with airplanes hanging from the ceilings. Food came out fairly quickly. Not too much chili but not too little. It was just right. The french fries were really good. They had a great little batter on them that made them taste awesome. They have specials during the week and they have a wide variety of items on their menu. Lots of seating available. Definitely recommend that you go to this location on the northeast side of Toepperwein Road.“
