Stoped in on a Sunday after a softball tournament wanting some home style food. This was hands down the best home style cooking we have had in a long time. Everything was off the charts good!! The biscuits are the best I’ve had.

Not Bad… Just Deeply Underwhelming in a Way That Feels Personal.
This place had me walking in like I was about to experience something legendary. The hype? Loud. The expectations? High. My taste buds were ready for a life changing moment.
Instead… I got a meal that felt like it needed a group chat discussion and some honest feedback.
Nothing was *bad*, technically. That’s the tricky part. It’s just that everything showed up like it forgot the final step. Like the food was 90% done and then someone said, *“Yeah that’s probably fine.”
The biggest offender? The gravy.
I’m still trying to process it.
I poured it out expecting that rich, thick, soul-healing consistency… and instead got something with the structural integrity of lightly flavored water. I’m talking gravy in its liquid era. If it moved any faster, I would’ve needed a straw.
The rest of the plate followed the same energy.
The strips? Fine.
The crust? So thin it felt like it was going through something.
Mac & cheese? Present, but not making a strong case for itself.
Mashed potatoes? Just kind of there, emotionally unavailable.
Now the biscuit?
I’ll give credit where it’s due that thing showed up ready to perform. Soft, flavorful, actually seasoned… like it knew the assignment and was confused why everything else didn’t.
By the end, I wasn’t mad. Just sitting there like, “…that’s it?”
It’s not terrible. It’s just not worth the hype, the return trip, or the internal monologue I had convincing myself this was going to hit.
I came in expecting a moment.
I left with a meal that needed salt and a stronger sense of purpose.

We will definitely be back, employees are so sweet and helpful with it being our first time there. The food was amazing, came out hot and fresh. The price for the amount of food you get is amazing as well. We will be back.

Well the napkins were nice. Ice was cold. Chicken tenders so dry I needed coke to was it down. fried green tomatos burned yet uncooked inside. Bone in chicken dry and bland large coke 12 Oz of that 6 Oz was ice. 48 bucks. In the trashing went. Just horrible

The hostess was friendly told us to sit anywhere. Salad wasn't too bad can tell its from a bag. Biscuits was amazing will melt in your mouth. They brought out the chicken but no side took them an additional 15 min for them to bring us our sides. Had empty cups of drink until we was ready to leave. If your wanting to get food and go be prepared to be waiting a min of 30 min.

Order a to go order…chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and cream corn & chicken with stuffing….we order cherry cobbler but they were amazing at calling ahead of time to ask if we wanted a substitute dessert or refund…we chose the banana pudding of course! The chicken was SO moist and full of flavor and the chicken gravy over stuffing brought me back to a childhood memory. Chicken fried steak was HUGE and perfect not tough at all. All of the sides were incredible…10 out of 10 for everything and very well priced.
Definitely full of love!!

This is mine and my wife’s first time here. This is absolutely the best place to get chicken. It’s fresh made and hands down best in town. The service is awesome and it’s just a welcoming environment. You won’t be sorry you ate here.

This is the second time I've had Bucket of Love, the first time was Door Dashed, but we were very pleased with everything, chicken, cat fish, biscuits and all of the sides. Unfortunately they were out of collard greens the first time, but now I can understand why, best collard greens in town, I wish I had more. Not only is the food delicious but the customer service was top notch. Thank you Diane, we will be regulars now.
