Decided to try Darla’s Southern Cajun Bistro because it was listed as a black owned establishment. Arrived at 3pm, the closing time was 4pm.

Chicken and fish are good. Greens were a bit salty, Mac was greasy and not cheesy. The best thing I tasted were the hush puppies(amazing). They charged a 43+% gratuity to our bill. Our food for 4ppl was $80+ish and the tip of $44 was automatically added to the bill. Idk how this works, but if I'd known I would have eaten else were. Food 5/10 service 7/10.

Customers appreciate the Ole Skool Southern fried chicken, and all the sides are on point. The chef even greets customers when possible, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While there have been some AC issues, visitors find the food perfect and often return for more.
