I don’t normally leave reviews but I will not be going to this establishment again. Do not order the the cod fish basket. They brought our orders and it was very raw in the middle and the fries weren’t much better. We sent it back and they offered to fix it and by fix it they refried it. Jumbo Joe's Burgers is a quaint and favorite spot for delicious, perfectly cooked cheeseburgers and mushroom cheeseburgers with spicy fries. The hamburgers are hot and fresh, served by friendly staff, and the restaurant offers call-ahead orders for convenience. The atmosphere is simple and nostalgic, reminiscent of old-fashioned burger places, and it is located just across the street from the Texas Tech Museum on 4th Street in Lubbock. Customers appreciate that the restaurant is open until 10 pm, making it a great late-night spot. The menu includes options like a smaller burger, which is very tasty, and the tater tots are crunchy and perfect. The fried pickle sticks are also highly recommended, with some calling them "the bomb." The service is quick, and staff are accommodating, willing to substitute Swiss cheese or add mushrooms to burgers. Prices are reasonable, and the big enough portions can be shared. The restaurant is a good example of an old-fashioned burger place with a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Overall, it remains a popular choice for those craving a nostalgic, delicious burger in Lubbock.
