“Box Car BBQ absolutely blew us away catering my husband’s Army retirement event! From the start, Jeremy made everything easy with great communication and menu options. On the day of the event, he and his staff were kind, professional, while going above and beyond to take care of every detail. And the food? Hands down the BEST BBQ we and our guests have ever had ANYWHERE in East Texas. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth, the ribs were perfectly smoked, and the sides and sauce are just as amazing. People are still talking about how incredible everything was! If you want flawless service and unforgettable BBQ, Jeremy and his team at Box Car are in a league of their own.“

“We stopped in yesterday for Breakfast. Best decision. Food was HOT and damn good. Portion was excellent. Breakfast burritos were A+. Service was fast and friendly and some of the best coffee ive had in a restaurant in years. Whole dining area was clean and comfortable.“

“Lone Star Charlie’s provides exceptional customer service, hands down. ‼️💯 Although I didn't obtain the names, the waitress who uplifted my spirits following a severe car accident on US 59 was truly an angel 😇 in disguise during a difficult time, and the host ensured my mother's comfort due to her mobility issues. The food was also great. I highly recommend visiting Lone Star Charlie’s near Livingston, TX; you won't be disappointed.❣️“

“so glad we found this hidden gem...they close at 3 and we arrived after 2. everything was fresh...buffet was well stocked with homemade food...everything tidy...we were not rushed...when we left there was people still eating and the buffet was still fully stocked...they did not start breaking it down or asking people if they were finished. awesome job“

“Got a party platter instead of cooking after work for special guests. The food was, as always, GREAT! Super reasonable, ready on time, packaged very well, some of the containers I saved for Meal Prep, and it was way more than enough for 5 people. All the fixings and queso were included, even the super hot boom sauce that we love! 10 out of 10 recommend!“

“This is a very small buffet. HOWEVER, what they do have is delicious and fresh & the service was great! They actually asked us what we would like them to make fresh since they were slow and didn't want food to sit and go to waste. We thoughly enjoyed our visit and will stop in again when going thru lufkin! 😋“

“This was my 1st visit and the guys were all friendly and helpful. The food was all fresh and food portions were great!
I ordered fresh cut Onion Rings, the Catfish & Butterfly Shrimp plate which came with a trip to the Salad Bar, Baked Potato (or FF), Pinto Beans, Cole Slaw & Hushpuppies. Everything was appealing and quite tasty! I will definitely stop in again on my next trip to Lufkin. Thanks for a great supper (& plenty of leftovers 😀), Catfish King! 💜“

“I’ve always enjoyed CrackerBarrel shopping and the food. Food use to be good. Last 3 times we have been to Lufkin Cracker Barrel the food was no good not worth the money or my time. This last visit when we finally got some one’s attention to get butter for our now cold food and also under cooked food. The girl brought a hand full of butter with two or three that were already used. I normally take my mother there but I doubt I will go back u til they get better qualiity all the way around.“

“Prices are a bit much but for the quality it's worth it. Drive-thru time wasn't too bad and the food was still fresh. (Went early morning)
