“My husband and I had occasion to be in Coldspring a couple weeks ago at lunch time. We visited The Hop and we're impressed to enjoy a delicious, freshly made burger with fries. Definitely not a fast food burger, but large and juicy freshly cooked. And the fries were so crispy and good. Will definitely return if we're in the area.“

“First time to eat here this evening. Was coming home from a long trip. Chose to get the 14oz ribeye (first thing I liked was the choice of 12, 14 and 16 Oz steak depending on your appetite. I miss that from the steak house I had to move away from. The atmosphere was a cozy small town restaurant and the waitstaff was kind, courteous, friendly and very helpful. When my steak arrived, it was flame broiled and cooked to my specifications (medium rare). Kudos to the cook. The only thing I can say that I do not like about this restaurant is it is across the lake (as the crow flies) BUT that will not stop me from making this my destination for steak dinners. Also look forward to their all you can eat fish. I’m sure it will be the same great quality served with a smile. Would definitely recommend and will return. 👍“

“Service was okay—not the best we’ve had, but definitely not the worst either. The margaritas were great!
My son ordered the kids’ quesadilla, and as you can see from my picture, the plate was mostly rice and beans with very little quesadilla, which was a little disappointing. I had the birria tacos, and they were pretty good. We also tried to order lemonade, but they were out, and they were out of Starry as well, so we ended up getting Sprite.
My husband said his steak was okay, but we’ve had steak at another Mexican restaurant that was much better. My daughter enjoyed her hamburger, and my oldest son enjoyed his meal as well.
Overall, not too shabby! There were definitely some good things, especially the margaritas, but it probably wouldn’t be our first choice for Mexican food here in Livingston.“
