“What a delicious meal! It was our first time here. The waitstaff made our time here wonderful! They were quick to get us Margarita’s while we took our time looking over the menu. We ordered Pupusa’s, Empanadas and Ropa Vieja. Dessert was their Tres Leches cake. All the food was delicious but the Pupusa’s is what will bring us back for sure.The restaurant it self along with the restrooms and menus were very clean. Biggest pet peeve with restaurants is cleanliness and this restaurant holds this high on their list. Highly recommend this restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.“

“Excellent roadside restaurantWith food prepared fresh when ordered. Quesadillas were crispy hot no excess oil. Adaptations for vegetarian diet cheerfully received. Make sure you get the guacamole!!

“I visited the old Cafe Texan pretty often as when I visited Hunstville, and was sad to see it go. I had no idea they reopened. I am happy to see it still delivers excellent food and service. The building has a major face-lift and modernized vibe, but still delicious and worth the stop.“

“I went here several years ago and while driving through yesterday, I suggested it to my husband. From my memory, it was more of a country down home theme. We walked in and it now seems somewhat confusing on what the theme is! Somewhat of the same decor, but 90’s grunge playing for music with alternative teens working there. Not a big deal, just strange and threw off the vibe I was expecting.Cons: girl “cleaning” tables used a napkin and the condensation that the drinks left on the table as the “cleaner.” Needless to say, it wasn’t cleaning the tables. Bathrooms weren’t clean either. Smelled of mildew when we first walked in.Pros: our severer was very nice and did a good job. The food runner was very friendly too. The food was as delicious as I remember. Everything we ate was so good and truly tasted homemade.We’ll go back again for sure, but I’ll take a cleansing wipe to wipe down our table first.“

“I love this restaurant so much!! The food is amazing, I always get the steak chimichanga with the rice, beans, and cheese puff. The rodeo fajitas are also amazing!!!! The food is always fresh and they have so much to choose from. Breakfast , low carb, kids food items, and authentic Mexican food.The family that owns this restaurant also really care about the customers. Always walking around and smiling and making a point to talk to customers.“

“Taco Mania was always a staple for me when I was in college at Sam Houston. I always get the Daniel’s taco, a gordita and two tostadas with their beef steak. I absolutely love their green sauce. It definitely has a kick but it’s so yummy!“

However, my recent experience at a once-beloved restaurant left me feeling utterly disappointed.Typically, my annual visit to this restaurant is a highlight of the year. The meal is always exquisite, the service top-notch, and the overall experience truly memorable. Unfortunately, this year was a sad let down.From the moment we sat down, it was clear that something was amiss. The overcooked rice and watered-down salsa were just the beginning of a series of missteps that would ultimately ruin the dining experience. To make matters worse, we were served by not one or two, but a total of five different waiters throughout the course of our meal. The lack of communication and coordination among the staff led to a complete disarray in both service and delivery of our food.We're considering returning next year for another chance at a stellar dining experience, with hopes that improvements will be made to the overall service and food quality. Only time will tell if this establishment can redeem themselves from this year's let down.Overall, it was a disappointing experience that fell short of the high expectations set by previous visits. “We had a lovely young lady, Joslyn I believe her name was. She had been our server over a month ago and remembered my wife's allergies. She also remembered our drink order for all 4 of us. As usual the sushi was wonderful and the eel was fantastic! It's our go to spot for birthday dinners and lunches. We all HIGHLY recommend!“

“The best Chinese food! They have a huge variety! The staff was nice and the bathrooms clean. You pay before you eat here so that's a little different but it works. Their food was super super good and yall should go check this place out! Best Chinese food around for sure!“
