Pengus' Place Reviews
We drove from College Station just to celebrate my birthday! First time here and it won't be our last! We were welcomed with opens arms and delicious food from across the pond! Don't miss the opportunity to stop here for breakfast, lunch or dinner!
Best British food in Texas
A friend recommended Pengus’s Place to us a couple of months ago. We finally got to try it out today. (Thanks Lee Rushing! You were right! 😋🤗😋)
My husband and I shared the Fish and Chips meal. Our order came out hot and fresh! Yum!! 😋 (It was very similar to some we had years ago in London.) Also, our waitress was delightful and very attentive. We’ll definitely be back!
BTW: They are open Thursday thru Sunday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Pengus' Place is a wonderful little restaurant with really good food and personal service. The staff is friendly, and the fish is perfect. They offer a Keto section for dietary restrictions and have a kid-friendly menu. Customers highly recommend trying their Scottish eggs, Parmo, mushy peas, and Ricotta, lemon, and pear pie. Recent visitors praised the outstanding quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere, describing it as a cozy place with beautifully prepared dishes. The lamb roast stood out with its gravy, Yorkshire pudding, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, and roasted potatoes, making a perfect bite. The soup and salad were also fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is known for its amazing fish and chips, with some customers willing to drive long distances just to enjoy them. The meat and mushroom pie is also highly rated for its incredible flavor and texture. Additionally, the Sunday Roast is a staple, and the restaurant changes its special dinners based on the season and the chef’s creativity. Overall, it’s a 5-star experience with great food, welcoming people, and nice decor. Many say it’s possibly the best British restaurant in Texas, and some call it an incredible place they can’t wait to visit again.
