“Our compadres and us came here late last Friday evening, grabbed a doughnut w/a coffee each, took a seat, ate our doughnuts, drank our coffee, chatted for a few minutes reflecting on our lives we all have had and shared together with our families for the past 35 years, ordered more doughnuts, with more coffee, enjoyed our time here at Shipley Do-Nuts, interacted with the store servers/owners, and had one of our best Friday outings together here at Shipley Do-Nuts that we have had in a while. Thank you Shipley Do-Nuts for being there for us after all these years.-GodspeedThe Torres & The Rodriguez of Pharr, Texas...Nov. 2023“
“The donuts are very good, the only problem is that when I order through the app they ALWAYS give me cold ones and I honestly don't like that, which is why the 4 stars. If they gave the donuts hot like when you order them in person it would be perfect.“
“Great breakfast tacos I got the puerco guisado, very Interesting flavor, different than what my mom makes but taste like the owners grandmas recipe, any grandma’s recipe is good! Also got beans and chorizo con egg, very good and only for $1.75“
“This place is amazing from the second you walk in AMAZING service, followed by TONS of donut options, the donuts are amazing! And let me tell you the fact that they are kid friendly! I’ve been to a different donut shop trying to do the same and they’re not child donut friendly, here at PAPYS they are WELCOMING TO ALL!I recommend this shop to EVERYONE! You will love it! NO OTHER PLACE IS LIKE THIS.“
“I have had the opportunity to travel the US due to work, which has allowed me to visit some awesome donut places. I have eaten donuts from Strange Donuts in Missouri, Death by Donuts in Seattle, and Hypnotic Donuts in Dallas. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that El Fenix donuts has the BEST CHOCOLATE Glazed donuts that I have eaten!“
“Interesting start. We were greeted and we got to choose our own seat. I'm used to being asked what I want to drink, in this case I'm not sure if we get our own drinks or our waitress forgot to ask. No biggie on either end. The food was good. I ordered pozole. They gave me pozole with pork, not sure if they had chicken and didn't offer, or they don't serve chicken pozole. It was served hot and tasted buenísimo! I had a taco of barbacoa and that was good. My Husband had menudo. He said it tasted very good, but needed salt. He also had two tacos. We had two bottles of water and a cup of coffee. I paid approx. $37. The pan dulce looked good but I was stuffed. We arrived just in time because it got packed. It was not loud and it was not quiet, it was average noise. It's worth a try if you like Mexican food and are close by.“
“The Edinburg branchTook a while to get the order, the drive thru side window was slower than actually getting off and getting the order (had time to actually see twoCustomers, in-n-out, as I was waiting for my turn to order, not to mention the two vehicles in front of me),but quality of food, worth it...YUM!“
“Super great donuts! As a native houstonian, these donuts taste like home!! I grew up in the 956 as a kid too & even then No other donut place got a thing like shipleys! People who don't like it are honestly just haters lol if you're sketchy to try it, just get an assorted dozen donuts, donut holes AND sausage & cheese kolaches YOURE WELCOME“
“i love it here, i wish the donuts would be more fresh as when i had shipleys in north texas they were still serving super fresh donuts mid day! the fresh donuts are so much better than the ones that have been sitting there for a while, but they’re still good!“
“I stopped in for an orange juice and left with a spectacular work of art! This could also be called A Diabetic's Demise lol. I'm going back and taking all my friends. Good for a birthday party too.Parking: Right out front, dozens of spacesWheelchair accessibility: No automatic door, but doorway is plenty wide for a wheelchair.“
