“I live in Menard and go to Lazy Ladle every Monday for their Fried Chicken dinner. It is the best. Their other menu items are solid and it's a great place for a lunch sandwich/salad or a hearty breakfast. They also have hand dipped and soft serve ice cream and homemade desserts.“

“This restaurant recently reopened. It is clean, friendly and yummy. I ordered the jalapeño cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers ever. The fries were very good too. And I really liked the hot sauce. I tried their bean and cheese taco which I ordered through their to-go window a few weeks ago and it was very good too. They now take credit cards and have a BYOB policy. How nice! Enjoy!“

“Wonderful stories and great food. Fills your stomach and warms your heart, a must stop for anyone traveling through. Breakfast made by one of the first women crane operators in Texas makes the meal priceless. I will make sure to stop here even if I have to take the longer route through the area.“
