“I've been coming to Peppers Café since 2008, and let me tell you this place isn’t just a restaurant. It’s got soul. You feel it when you walk in, like stepping into a home that always smells like good food and good memories. Over the years, the quality hasn’t dipped even an inch ,in fact, it’s only gotten better. That kind of consistency is rare these days, and it’s why this spot holds a permanent place in my heart (and stomach).

The staff here? Top-notch. They’re more like family than just employees always welcoming, always attentive, and they genuinely make you feel like you're part of something special. It's the kind of place where they remember your order and ask about your day and that warmth is just as much a part of the menu as the food.

Now, let’s talk breakfast. Every single breakfast dish here is phenomenal. I don’t say that lightly. Whether you're in the mood for something savory or sweet, classic or Tex-Mex inspired, they’ve got it locked in. You’ll walk out full, satisfied, and maybe even considering coming back for lunch (which I’ve done more than once).

When I really want to indulge? The nachos with fajita. They're my go-to. Loaded, flavorful, and satisfying on every level. The balance of meat, cheese, and that perfect crunch? It’s a masterpiece. And just when I think I’m done those churros with caramel hit the table. Warm, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and served at the perfect temperature. That dip into caramel sauce is the final mic drop.

Funny enough, I’m here right now as I write this, soaking in the familiar smells and that friendly buzz of morning conversations. It’s my little ritual, and I plan to keep it going for years to come. Places like Peppers Café are rare rooted in consistency, wrapped in heart, and always delivering on flavor.

“This place is the best MEXICAN food around. Some DFW people think queso is Mexican food. It's not. It's TexMex, which is not what Dos Panchas serves. This is Mexican food, which has little to NO YELLOW CHEESE. PLEASE ignore the negative reviews, for they are usually written by people who don't know the difference between Mexican and TexMex. (ALSO, the literacy rate displayed in most negative reviews shows that the authors are not very well-educated. Coincidence?) “I was craving some authentic enchiladas and I went here for lunch by myself. The customer service was so nice, the enchiladas was great and I even had some Mexican soup before my meal. A pleasant Mom & Pop kind of restaurant & I will definitely be adding this to my go to list of places for Mexican food. ?“

“I recommend the food, but the service is awful unless you are a man sitting at the bar. Staff stays on their phones and does not pay attention to people. Took us over 20 mins to get our check and there is only one guy sitting at the bar and no one else is in here. Good food- bad staff will ruin a place.“

“Great! Well worth the 60 mile round trip to get there! The staff were all very friendly. Anyone that grew up with Pancho's will likely enjoy this location and will know what I mean. Anyone who didn't, may not. Pancho's is not Mexican food, not Spanish food, not Tex-Mex food...it is a food style of its own. Lots of choices, and all you can eat. Be sure to end with the sopapillas. No more "raise the flag" for service, but my waitress checked back with me frequently so no problems there. The restaurant is not fancy. It's been there for a long time, and it may not be in the most prosperous strip shopping center, but it was clean. The lady's rest room could use some work, but better than many of the places I've been to. I highly recommend this Mesquite location to anyone with a craving for Pancho's.“
