Sunday Morning Catfish and More

I cannot say enough how much we enjoy this place. My family ordered a family pack a few weeks ago and we're pleasantly surprised at how great the food was and the quantity. We can to dine in this evening and again, food is excellent. You will not leave here hungry. I love the quiet atmosphere as well. The small personal touches and crafts throughout the building are awesome, I love the thought and as a crafter myself I think I is great that the owners put those little bits of brightness into the building, as well as their talent for great food. Those little touches are a great break from mass produced ugly decor that is everywhere nowadays.
10/10 will be back.

The pork chops and catfish platters are delicious. The chops are big and tender. The food is always fresh. I love this place. You will, too. Also, from the attendant to the cooks, they are always courteous and friendly.

Best Catfish Nuggets I've had in along time! I've been up there 2 days in a roll! My new favorite! Chicken wings fried to perfection! Potato salad 🥗 delicious! Kool-aid on point i had the blue raspberry 😋 💙. Don't wait y ok u better run there!

Great catfish and pork chops. Some of the best tartar sauce I’ve ever had too.

Ordered catfish takeout...... I should have asked before ordering so half my fault. I should have known by the price. Another red flag should have known when the tilapia basket was more than the catfish basket
🤣💀. What I got didn't taste like US catfish tasted like Swai in my opinion. I've been catching and eating catfish since I could picked out the bones out so I can tell the difference just by looking at the meat. We fished, cleaned and cooked it 2-3 times a week. And I'm not talking about no mudcats either.....only channel cat for me! US catfish is firm and dense doesn't flake apart like the fish I received definitely and not slimy like the fish I received with batter falling off.

We visited this Location on Saturday to Celebrate Mother's Day early. We had fish nuggets cook perfectly and Pork Chops fried just a little hard for my mom, but seasoned just right. The Homemade Tartar Sauce is Super Good Highly Recommend. Staff was awesome, restaurant was very nice and clean. 9/10 only, because pork chops fried hard.

I highly recommend coming here when your on this side of town. The service was a 10/10, I was greeted almost immediately when I walked through the door. The staff was welcoming and had no problems answering or explaining what they have on their menu. There's so many options to choose from and the food was amazing. I will be going back when I find myself in Mesquite again.

I’ve known about this place since 2019, and unfortunately it’s not what it used to be. I ordered two nugget baskets and one shrimp basket with both regular and spicy tartar sauce. The tartar sauce is still delicious, but the fish and shrimp were both chewy. The food was hot, but honestly, I could buy fish from the grocery store and fry it myself for a better result.

One of my nugget baskets barely had any nuggets, and it doesn’t even seem like real catfish, possibly swai. That was disappointing. I really hope they improve and stop shortchanging customers.

On a positive note, the gentleman who took my order was very sweet and helpful, which I appreciated. I’d consider giving them another try if I’m back on that side of town.
