This is our experience from Cattle Barron. We ordered chicken fried chicken meal and burger with salad bar. Chicken was fair, but burger was absolutely amazing. Well seasoned, hot, and very juicy. Salad bar was Great! My only criticism would be that the place is outdated and over priced. But overall our server(Melissa) was the Best. So we blessed her with great tip. I would return for burger and salad bar.

Was very excited to try this place out, however I wasn’t too impressed. Maybe I went on an off day but the poor servers were running around trying to keep up, brought our food cold. Probably from sitting there waiting to get brought out to us. Understaffed perhaps. I noticed how their female manager would literally just stand there on her phone. She seemed so annoyed about being there did not offer a hand to her sinking employees and was not very pleasant to guest either. Better management would probably keep staff.

Right out of the gate, the two servers we saw seemed stretched thin. After being seated, the server was rushing us to order and talking very quickly. She also decided that it wouldn’t be important to tell us her name. I then opened my silverware and noticed that it wasn’t clean at all. No big deal, I asked for a change of silverware, and without responding to me at all, she left the table quickly with the silverware and returned with two sets of to go plastic ware, threw them on the table in front of me and walked off, without regard to me saying thank you. She portrayed a lack of eye contact, lack of respect and overall a lack of manners as a server. The appetizers were satisfactory. Now, on to the food: I ordered a French Dip sandwich with steak fries and.. well, all I can really say is that was a mistake. The fries were so well done that they could’ve been used for kindling. The au jus was flavorless and spilled all over the plate so the bottom piece of bread was soaked through like a sponge. The roast beef was dry and tough and the Swiss was the one thing trying to hold together this train wreck of a lunch. All in all, I think it is safe to assume I will never return to Cattle Baron again, and I definitely will not be recommending this to anyone. To the waitress with very long acrylic nails, I hope today was just a bad day and that you recover from whatever caused you to project your attitude onto your clientele. I pray it never happens again.

This was my first time here. There was no one to greet me at the door, I then sat at the bar, after a few minutes the bartender walked up and says nah ugh.. Bar seating is closed due to staff shortage. Bar was dirty with dirty dishes. Bartender could be a bit more friendly. I left to find another Steakhouse.

Wonderful service with porcha and Chris. Very attentive. My husband had the prime rib which was absolutely amazing cut of meat and our kids have the sirloin off the kids menu. Wonderful meats. I had the salad bar which is always top notch. HIGHLY recommend this restaurant

Cattle Baron's food is very inconsistent; one night it's really good and the next visit it's terrible. My order tonight was cold. I couldn't let my server know because she was nowhere to be found. The food is overpriced for what you get, and the poor service is frustrating. I will not be returning to this place.

We used to go to another location when we lived in another city and enjoyed it but I must say, the Midland location makes us feel like they are going above and beyond every time we have visited. I have splurged and bought their best, with appetizers and deserts, and tonight, just the straight salad bar and still we are treated with excellence. The food is always on point and they manage to take me and my wife to a happy place. Great job!

My husband and I went last night 4/14/22, to celebrate my last chemo. Our server was awesome and the food was very good.We were done and waiting for our server to bring the bill when she came to us and said that someone already took care of it!We were extremely blessed!!!We discovered that it was the couple sitting a few feet away from us and had to go thank them for such a special blessing. The husband hugged me and went on to tell us that he had just lost his mother to breast cancer(which is what I had)it was emotional as you could see and feel his pain.I wish I would have gotten their names as I would have sent them a gift card to show our appreciation. This was such a great experience and honestly this is exactly how God wants us to be towards each other.Humbled by your love to a stranger my anonymous friends!God Bless you both

I highly recommend this place for a customer dinner a dinner with wife and kids and just lunch with a coworker nice lunch. One of the best steaks you will have! And if you even think you like Salad. They have an outstanding salad bar assortment incredible and usually 2 soups!! The staff makes you feel like your on a cruise ship on formal dinner night the titanic, very good!! I will be coming back!!!

Right as I finished my salad the rest of the meal was delivered. The entire order was correct and all the dinner choices tasted Excellent!! We had 2 more loaves of their bread (fresh from the oven) before we left. The food was excellent. The staff is Awesome and the price is comparable to other steak houses.

We didn’t have a server so the poor bartender was running herself ragged trying to take care of everyone around her and her bar, and I ordered the steakhouse chicken, which was 18$, and it was very overcooked and dry and the rest of the food wasn’t super flavorful. Maybe I came on an off day but for now I wouldn’t recommend it.

I personally like this place. It's been around a long time and recently renovated. The salad bar has always been amazing. It's more for established people who are loyal but the good thing is there is hardly a wait and I do enjoy the food. There is complimentary bread and butter. Check it out .

I don't know what I was expecting but it failed miserably to impress. The steak was good, the appetizer wontons were not good and looked nothing like the picture in the menu. My server stayed busy and she was professional. Overall, the experience was just blah...As I was leaving after my meal, the manager and two servers were standing at the front wait desk talking, I walked by and said thank you and none of them acknowledged me. And before you wonder if they heard me.....yes, I am sure they did because the all looked and not one of them said a word. It was like I was speaking in tongues or something. I just shook my head and walked out.Stay classy Cattle Baron!!

The food is good I got a medium well steak with mashed potatoes. Well seasoned/cooked steak, mashed potatoes loaded where good too. The service was great although they took a while to serve our party. But the ambiance makes up for it I love the decor it’s awesome! old western style and memorabilia. The salad bar was so so (“okay”) I’d say just stick with a meal or the salad bar. The food is pricey as well as the salad bar and you’d get full if you get both, just my opinion though. In all it’s a great place to eat.
