Great breakfast! I had the Pirata. Two hefty slices of brisket with beans an egg over medium and a strip of bacon on a homemade style flour tortilla. Unreal! They don’t take credit cards but accept cash, venmo or cash app. I met the owner Daniel Sanchez, nice guy. He told me getting there early is best. Looking forward to trying their lunch real soon. In traditional Aggie fashion, I give El Sancho two thumbs up!!!
The chilaquiles bowl is delicious! Brisket is fantastic. Usually I’m a firm believer that chips aren’t chilaquiles but the refried beans, tomatillo sauce are the perfect combo with the chips. The avocado and pickled onions pair perfectly with the brisket and tomatillos sauce to balance out the flavor. This food truck is nestled behind jitterz which is the best symbiotic relationship. I have tried different items from their menu and they have all been phenomenal!! The Iron Mike, Burnt Ends, Pork Belly, El Rey, and the Smoked Barbacoa. I live in Austin but anytime I am back home in the RGV I always make time to stop by and grab me some good eats. Pair it with some Jitterz coffee and your day is off to a great start!
