“We usually stop by Carmelitas in Mission every few weeks for lunch. First of all the restaurant and bathrooms are CLEAN. The wait staff is courteous and professional. The food is also prepared correctly and always has a good taste. I recommend Carmelitas if you are looking for a good clean restaurant for lunch that serves good food.

“Los mejores chilaquiles de todo el Valle. Si quieres comer en un lugar rico, tranquilo y familiar Angel’s Kitchen es el mejor lugar para disfrutar de comida deliciosa en un ambiente agradable. Mis favoritos del lugar son los chilaquiles pero también tienen otras opciones muy buenas, la porciones son generosas y la calidad se sus ingredientes es buena. El dueño es un señor muy amable que está al pendiente de sus comensales y las meseras siempre muy atentas, amigables y platicadoras. “Headed to the Valley this last Saturday and the first place on the list was El Sancho and man were we ecstatic that we hit this place up first. We got there at about 9am and had to order the tacos. We ordered the Iron Mike, the Milagro, and the Spicy Carnitas. First, for all the normal eaters out there, these tacos were stuffed to the brim with tasty goodness. I can’t say enough about the taste, it’s something you have to experience for yourself!! The staff were extremely friendly and the owner even took some time out to check up on us and the other tables. As a side note even the salsas were amazing, be careful they have a bit of a kick!! 10/10 I would drive the 3 hours from Laredo again for these Tacos!! Pictures in the comments“

“La Fogata was recommended to us by a friend for my mother-in-laws birthday celebration and I’m so so glad we chose this place. Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really great food. A big thank you to our waiter Joe, for providing outstanding service throughout our entire meal. He was beyond attentive and really made our evening wonderful. Very impressed with this place and I definitely recommend 10/10.“

“Fam and I have been going to this location for YEARS. Staff is always on point with all the orders. You can choose drive thru, or park and go in. I think they also opened their dine in section again, but it's also very limited. Staff is nice and ready to serve. They have barcacoa, menudo, carnitas (pork and beef), tripas, mollejas, chicarrones and more.

Parking: Perking is limited. Most people go through the drive-thru options. There's usually a deputy on-site to guide the incoming traffic into the business.“

“The best tacos anywhere in south texas. Great breakfast and dinner. Try traditional breakfast. But if you want a real special treat try tacos tlaquepaque or tacos de vapor. Saw this on a TV special. “Tacos de canasta” . Which translates homemade tacos in a basket. You do t have to travel to a resort area for this just go to mission Texas.“

“I went to get some barbacoa this morning. It was great, we are talking melt in your mouth tender. The tortillas are hand made every morning. I have to come back during the week for some tacos.“

“This place was recommended to us for their chile relleno. It was good, though no better than at least two other places which charge less, look as nice, and have better service. I grew up in Mexico and would like more "picante" (hotness" to my chile.
As for the service, our server was friendly, but kept forgetting things (napkins, etc.).
If this were the only option, the food would be worth going back. But there are better options for less, so we probably won't.“

“One of our favorite, go-to eateries here in our town. Food is homemade and very, very good. Definitely made to order! The atmosphere is a nostalgic journey through Mexican cinema. “I have to say my experience with the cashier this past weekend in the afternoon was a huge improvement. In the past id get so frustrated because i had to open every item in my order just to check if it was right only to find mistakes that left me reheating cold food once i got home. But this time the afternoon cashier made all the difference—she took the time to go over everry item and ensure everything was exactly what we ordered It really took away the usual stress, and we got home with a warm meal, just as we wanted. thank you for the fantastic service and attention to detail.“

“Tacos Carnitas Michoacan is a gem! Their Carnitas are absolutely delicious, with authentic Mexican flavors that stand out. The salsa is fantastic, and the environment is both clean and welcoming. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. But most importantly, the flavor of their food is simply unbeatable. Highly recommended!“
