“I have had so many boba milk teas in Houston and when I ask the staff to get me a tea with less sugar it was always sweet when I sipped. But the staff in Tao Tao know what they are doing. The Ceylon highland milk tea with 50 percent sugar is everything I needed.I could taste the tea flavor without any sugar and it's elite.

I drove for 30 minutes from my work place to try and it didn't disappoint me. Definitely will be back to try more flavors.

I went back to the store on the weekend and the British peach tea, oolang milk tea were so watery. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be so diluted. So far I would recommend only the Ceylon highland milk tea.“

“Overall my favorite tea place that I regularly go to, but recently the drinks have been inconsistent :( I don’t know if there was a new employee today or something, but I had coffee jelly in my tea instead of the lychee jelly that I asked for which kinda ruined the drink because it was not a milk tea. The green Thai tea tasted like it had no sugar at all even though I asked for 75% sugar instead of no sugar. It is a very good place when the right staff is making the drinks.“

We love it, not too sweet, you can choose the amount of sugar you want to add in your cup, i chose less sugar which is 50 percent. Less guilty hahaha. “Great place. I got the watermelon passion fruit tea with passion fruit popping pearls. As with most places, you can pick the sugar amount. I went with 50% and found it to be the perfect amount of sweetness. I haven’t tried anything else from here yet but I’ll def be back. Store was clean and the staff were friendly.“

“Been coming to Happy Teahouse for ages. Used to be open past midnight. Now it's moved a couple times and closes at 11, but what hasn't changed is their friendly service and their value.
During the freeze, they had power, stayed open, and I was able to eat some fried rice and charge my power bank.

I spent this year trying out half a dozen bubble tea spots, all are ok but have the crazy prices.

Bubble tea starts under $5 here, and not many spots have avocado smoothies.

“This place seems to be always crowded when I come, usually at nights on weekends. It's located in the Dun Huang Plaza near Shabu.Expect a long line and it can be difficult finding seats. It gets pretty loud with the music popping and groups of people sitting everywhere.I usually get the matcha red bean drink. It was listed as their top drink. It was pretty good. Their drink size is decent, a little pricey for boba compared to other places in town.They have a lot of employees working so it didn't take that long for the drinks to come out. They also have cards and games you can use to kill time.“
