“I've been craving butter chicken for the past two months. I've been meaning to make my way to this place. Me and my partner made it our business to visit this weekend. I didn't recall seeing it was take out only, which caught me off guard a bit considering we were trying to dine in. I was skeptical about the experience at first and later was VERY pleased! We both ordered butter chicken with a side order of Naan. We didn't even leave the parking lot because we just had to see if the food matched the hype of the reviews. To say the least butter chicken with the rice was amazing and the naan bread just elevated the dish all together! We enjoyed every bit. They give large quantities of butter chicken and rice with more than enough to eat later. Solid 9 out of 10! We will be back!“
“While this is a simple restraunt when you walk in,the food and service was great. The lunch buffet has a nice selection, continually being sure it was stocked and they make the bread FRESH on demand! Definitely would go back again!Kid-friendliness: We went with our two toddlers and everyone, including other customers were very welcoming.“
“We had heard many great things about this store from our family and friends in Houston, so we had to stop by before driving back home. We were very pleased. The store is clean and well organized. The staff were attentive and incredibly helpful. The grocery items were all very fresh. We picked up a few snacks and some to go dishes for the drive home. Our absolute favorites were the bonda, chicken puffs, paal kappa and beef curry. My one year old clearly loved the chicken puffs and kept signaling me for more. Hubby said the beef curry was delicious and reminded him of Kerala. We will definitely be back when we’re in the Houston area!“
“The food was excellent! Customer service was HORRIBLE! I placed two separate orders for two households. I asked that they not place the rice in the same container (something I knew they were customary of doing). However, they did anyway, and the younger male employee told me I can separate myself when I got home. Thankfully, I did not prepay, and I told them just to keep my order. He told me never to come back, and I obliged.“
“Exceptional flavors, fresh ingredients, and creative presentation make this restaurant a culinary gem. From appetizers to desserts, every dish is a palate-pleasing work of art.The dining experience here is nothing short of delightful; a must-visit for food lovers.“
“My wife has been craving her mom’s cooking for a while now and this was the best Malayalam food we’ve tried. We had a colleague bring it to a gathering and we tried it and immediately had to find out where he got it because it was absolutely delicious. We ordered chicken cutlets, chilli chicken, and beef fry. Everything tasted home made and everything was freshly made and hot like it just came off the stove. 10000% recommend everyone try it at least once. We’ll be regulars going forward.Parking: Lots of spots when we went. We parked right in front of the store.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“I loved it. Decently priced, good food. I got shrimp vindaloo and garlic naan, not quite sure they gave me the vindaloo but something similar. Either way I had a large portion with a lot of shrimp and ate it all in one sitting. Will definitely be back. ??“
“Incredible hospitality with great food! Everything we ordered was amazing and all the staffs were so humble. Probably the best place to have bihari kabab.I would like to take a moment to thank the manager Jawed, who made sure we were having a good time and checked on us several times.“
“What an amazing experience at Eggholic! Yummy food. So happy that we have an Indian street food restaurant near us! Must try the amdavadi touch sandwich and paneer gotala.. The rajwadi lassi is to die for!Vegetarian options: Paneer gotala, lava pulao , amdavadi touch sandwich.Kid-friendliness: Chocolate cheese sandwich“
“It's an interesting fusion of Indian food along with Bar. Music is loud, so don't take your family for dinner, however, it's a great place to get yourself some Indian food. A place for youngsters to chill.Wheelchair accessibility: Not really wheelchair accessible, but staff was very kind to help out.“
“This was absolutely “delightful”!! First time eating Indian food, they recommended us a dish bc the two we ordered were similar and we weren’t sure what to order and it was delicious. Loved it! Atmosphere is great everyone super friendly!“
“Write a quick review about savoy restaurant. Monica was amazing, and she made sure our Eid brunch was exceptional. We ordered our usual brunch items which are halwa puri, omelette and keema. When Monica noticed our table was smaller she fixed that.“
“Being from North Delhi, and living in US for nearly 16 years, I never found such good delhi-style chole bhature. I often travel from Clear lake city to pick it up (~40 min drive one way). Hats off to the team. (PS: the only thing I would recommend is if they can increase the quantity of chole a bit for a plate :))“
“This place has become my go-to for satisfying Indian street food craving . If you are fan of egg delicacies, this is the place for you. Their peri-peri sandwich is amazing , and the curries are great too. The restaurant’s decor is also pleasing , and the service staff are very friendly.“
“I was thrilled to see a food truck catering to those with a vegetarian based diet. I absolutely love Indian vegetarian dishes and I was happy to see new dishes (to me) on the menu that I haven't eaten before.I ordered the Sev Khamni, which is a savory street food snack from Surat, in Gujarat state in India. I'm no expert and this was the first time I've eaten it but from a taste standpoint, I'd say it's at least a 4 or 5 out of 5. It was very good!I also ordered the Dahi Puri, which if I'm not mistaken is a street food from Mumbai. Wow! I loved this food. There were so many unexpected flavors and textures in this dish. It was sweet, tangy and spicy at the same time. The crispness was a surprise to me. I ordered to go because it was about to start raining. After doing some research at home, I saw that it would have been better to eat them as soon as they were made, so I will need to return on a more pleasant day and eat them there. They still tasted amazing to me after the trip home. The service was fast and friendly. They were also very helpful answering my questions. I would have ordered more but I had already ordered from another food truck as well.I will be back to enjoy some more of this amazing Indian vegetarian street food!“
“Update: Although I was completely disappointed by their service on the day I ordered but I am updating my review here as the restaurant owner called and apologized for the inconvenience and also refunded the amount. I really appreciate the effort they have taken here. Thank you.Original review: I won't even give 1 star to this restaurant. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. We ordered food for pickup from their website. Paid the whole amount online and it said order would be ready in next 20 mins. We reached the restaurant 30 mins later to pickup the order but the order was still not ready and we had to wait for additional 45 mins waiting there. Also they refused to refund the money and in fact nobody there gave a proper estimate of how long it will take and just kept saying 2 more mins the entire time. Total waste of time and money.Felt like absolutely no value for customers or their time.“
“I recently had the experience of dining at Elite Restaurant and I must say, the management has truly elevated the restaurant and its events to a whole new level. From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the modern and immaculately clean event center. The basic setup provided was more than sufficient for the event, saving both time and money on decorations. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. The quality, taste, and consistency were impeccable. Each dish consistently surprised me with its flavors and presentation. However, the dish that truly stood out and compelled me to write this review was the Matka Ghost. The flavors were incredibly authentic, and the goat was cooked to perfection. It was a culinary delight that left a lasting impression. In terms of the venue, Elite Restaurant surpasses all expectations. The event center is unparalleled, offering a sophisticated and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect backdrop for any occasion.I highly recommend Elite Restaurant for your next event. Whether it's a special celebration or a casual gathering, their exceptional service, exquisite cuisine, and stunning venue will surely exceed your expectations.“
“Gotten only takeout from this place. The restaurant seems medium as far as seating and atmosphere goes. Food is pretty fire though. Auntie is always so nice when you go in. always smiling, always happy to help. Bihari kabab is great, biriyani is great, and portions are a pretty decent size.“
“My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful Sunday dinner at Ashiana. From the warm ambiance to the attentive staff, the restaurant creates a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a journey through the diverse flavors of India, with expertly crafted dishes that showcase the chefs' skill in blending spices. Highlights include the crispy samosas, flavorful Butter Chicken, and aromatic biryanis. The staff is great and very attentive. Highly recommend.“
“I have had the pleasure of eating at Desi Delights a few times and decided to cater from them for my daughter’s baby dedication. The event was for 250 people and we ordered quite a few items such as goat briyani, palek paneer, gobi manchurian, and chicken tikka masala. Everything was delivered hot and fresh for the event. Ramesh and his team made sure to work with us to make this day a success. I would definitely recommend them for your catering needs.“
“Baigan bharta, jackfruit biryani, pani puri, mango lassi were absolutely excellent. Rajma kofta, dal makhni were good. Chena dahi vada chaat was good but don't let them mash it for you. They make a khichdi out of it, destroying all the flavor. Mishti doi and mango dolly were good. Nibu naan, lychee ceviche were different and there were two camps - some loved them and some hated them. But Nibu naan needs to be enjoyed with something mild like Dal makhni. The interior was gorgeous! I would have loved the restaurant just for the interior. Good service, but expensive. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“We absolutely adore this place! Our monthly visits are a highlight, thanks to Maria's incredible hospitality and service and her delightful daughter's warm welcome as hostess. While all the staff members are fantastic, Maria holds a special place in our hearts from previous dining experiences. The cuisine here is truly unparalleled, surpassing even our experiences in India. For me, the JAHANGIR Lassi (spiked Lassi) steals the show – a delightful blend of rum, passion fruit, mango, topped with shaved pistachios. Each samosa is a culinary masterpiece, showcasing unique flavors and my faves are the mushroom and feta, and potato and nuts. My folks swear by the lamb shank but I still always get the Chicken Tikka Masala it's so great. Lastly, their sinfully delicious desserts are all incredible.“
“This is by far the best Indian food I’ve had in Houston. Each dish was JUST as good as the last. I truly can’t remember the last time I loved every single thing ordered. The staff was so nice and attentive, and the food was AMAZING. My only regret is not coming here sooner! Can’t wait for my next visit.“
“Honest revkew: if you're craving sodium, then come here. The salt is off the chain! How do I know? Na+ and H2O work like besties in your body. Na+ increase = H2O increase. H20 increase = volume of blood the blood vessels. Blood increase = pressure increase. Thus, once the salt is consumed by me in perhaps a delicious Tikka Masala, I start to soon notice my heartbeat getting faster and faster and my body feeling hot all of a sudden, and then I get out the blood pressure machine and woop there it is, that mmHg increase! The WHO recommends less than 5 grams of salt per day. Consider this before indulging. Stay hydrated, stay active, and stay positive, my fellow earthlings!“
“A modern Indian restaurant. If you are coming here for traditional Indian fare, you might be disappointed but if you are looking for the Indian flavors with a twist, then you should try this place. What we ordered:1. Delhi chat - a combo chat of famous chat items (dahi balle, aloo tikki) on a single plate. Was great. Tamarind chutney needs to be a bit more sweet.2. Earth thali - was okay. Only the butter chicken and naan was good.3. Texan - almost everything was great. The lamb chop with aloo tikki was a stretch and did not work for me.4. Masala Chai - 0/5 - this was a ready made Chai pack mixed in hot water. Did not have the creaminess of the whole milk. A good Chai needs time and this was very disappointing.5. Chai pie - very intresting and liked it.Thalis should come with some rice, just comes with a naan.Overall, worth a try.“
“This is one of the best kept secret snack place in Houston if you are wanting to taste Indian snacks such as Banana chips, plantain chips, tapioca chips, maida flour chips, sweet rice flour chips & many more…I always pickup few extra whenever I visit Stafford, TX. Snacks are freshly made & kept fresh. If you open a pack make sure you have it stored in air tight container for crispiness & long lasting taste“
“This is in response to an ignorant man who wrote the following:abu....something.1. Why have escalators that don't escalate? Just put stairs if yall don't want to fix them.- Then use the stairs lazy bone.2. There was a horrible odor that was unbearable walking up the metal spike stairs.- take your mask with you next time.3. It was 11:30 am on a Wednesday half of the shops where closed.- who goes shopping at 11:30 am? get a job!!4. The places that were open had a terrible attitude when you walked in.- you get what you give. Karma!!5. From the street, this place looks amazing, but it's all makeup when you get close enough. You see the real image.- You need glasses, get an eye exam.I don't know what is wrong with people. You have a goldmine in one of Houstons prime locations. Give it its due right.-Let me tell you what is wrong with people like YOU is you have no job, a lot of time, to troll someone's bread and butter like this. Shame on you!!.I am a customer here too but I see this often that Indian people defaming Indian businesses. What kind of people do that?If you have bought something or spent $$ there and then they did not give you something that you hoped for, you can write that, but because you did not like the esthetics, or the odor, or escalator not working. Shame!.“
“This place should be in the top 10 desi restaurant in houston, I had a goat karahi which was recommended to me by one of the servers named AbuBakar and it was really very delicious. Their nahari is the best in entire houston and the dhaga kebab was on point. The ambiance is basic but the quality of food and service is great. The service provided by AbuBakar was extremely overwhelming. Do visit this place if you are a desi foodie.“
“I went here by myself and was hungry in the mood for meat and rice. I like the atmosphere, plenty of booths, tables for big parties, and even a more traditional area where you sit on the floor (rugs) and eat at small tables. The staff was friendly, my server was great and even the other server working there came by to check on me. And the manager stopped by to make sure I liked my food. The food was delicious! My only issue was I can't handle spicy food and asked for mild spicy, but they asked if I wanted the food washed (no spice) and I said mild was fine. But I should have gone with the washed option because it ended up giving me stomach trouble. I also ordered a dish that had jalapenos in it, and my server warned me about how spicy everything was but apparently I can't handle spicy food at all, even though it tasted amazing. I ordered the mixed grill and added a goat leg. This was good, especially the chicken. I had 2 orders of yakhni soup, which I loved. It's a pure broth and they give you a little lime slice to squeeze in it and it was so good. I had something called Alu Palak which is boiled potatoes with a tasty spinach gravy. This is the one that had jalapenos. It is an awesome dish! Also ordered some white rice with cumin seeds. Had hot green tea to drink which came out perfect. So, a great meal with lots of leftovers because the mixed grill is too much for one person. I had to throw out the leftovers though because it was too spicy. Next time I will definitely ask for the food to be not spicy at all, and if I do order the Alu Palak (it was so good) again I'll pick out the jalapenos. Also will get a smaller dish than the mixed grill, probably one of the chicken dishes because they have tasty chicken here. Highly recommended, just be careful about the spice level because even the mild is pretty strong.“
“The best masala chai I have ever had outside of my own kitchen. I mean...insanely good. The chai was like $3-$4, rightfully so! The chai in the east coast is usually $2 which is exactly what you pay for. I'd pay $5 for this chai - it deserves the same price as a latte from any coffee shop.“
“2nd time I’ve meant to order Chicken Tikka Masala and was told I order only chicken Tikka, not the masala. It’s the only restaurant that names their tandoori chicken as chicken tikka and therefore confusing. I’m sure this is happening to others so just a heads up, make sure there’s Masala after Chicken Tikka, otherwise you’ll end up with Tandoori chicken.“
“Tandoori Chicken Momos were the Bomb! Burnt garlic fried rice was yum too. Green Chili noodles and Veg Manchurian were a bit disappointing, lacking flavor. Fast service, decent ambience, overall a good experience. I'm definitely going back for the Tandoori Momos ?“
“Aa jugya bō saras mitthai bunavé ché. Meh Rameshbhai né bi kidhu. Aaj puchhi biji koi munchings ni dookan maa NI javanu. Badhhaa Google na public né kaidem: ek vukhut chaikhu pacchi biji dookan nu khavanu saau buckwas jevu svad laagé.“
“I personally feel this place has the best indo-Chinese food in houston My american husband is obssessed with their chicken schezwan lollipop , you can’t miss those ! The best biryani I ever had ! The staff is really sweet and welcoming ! Quick service, awesome food , overall a 11/10 restaurant ❤️“
“Real good spot for some halal dining. Whenever I come here it's for the beef bihari kebab. It's probably the best tasting out of anywhere I've ever had. If you pair that with their parathas, it just tastes amazing. This their second location in town and this one is quite spacious and well maintained. Recommended.“
“Great place! Authentic south indian food and the best in Houston!!! We went to some big south indian brands before visiting Kumars and Kumars taste is much much better!!! They also have a lot of great vegetarian options with great taste. Go there if you are looking for authentic south indian food. Also generally restaurant have one or two out of the three chutney they serve to be good, but all three chutneys in kumar was very good, lets you wonder which taste you want to finish off.Vegetarian options: Dosa, podi dosa, parotta and veg salna, veg kothu parotta“
“Masala chai and filter coffee were nice drinks. Beef patty was pretty satisfying. Malai sandesh was definitely a hit, gur sandesh yummy as well. The inside walls of the cafe have interesting historical facts about coffee that you can read while you sip n snack.“
“We tried the paav Bhaji and the RajKachowri. Those were great. The RajKachowri didn’t have yoghurt so we had to ask for more. Taste and speed was good. The ambiance can be improved. Honestly the lights are too night like it’s an airport and the walls have masala splattered over it. We look forward to coming here for the speedy and clean food. We took some other dishes and overall the spice level was manageable also.Dietary restrictions: They can make everything without onion garlic except thalis“
“Authentic Punjabi food and owner is always involved and there mostly almost always. It does get busy on the weekends so plan to order ahead of time. Spicy is a great amount of spice and mild is perfectly mild for kids. Better than most Indian restaurants. Not a lot of room to eat there but amazing when ordered to go as well. We order from here almost weekly cause it’s so good.Vegetarian options: There is so many vegetarian options which makes it so easy to have a dish available for everyone from veg to meat, mild to spicy.“
“Let’s get into it ! This place is POC friendly and I love it. I found out about this hidden gem when I told my boss that I was about to break my fast and I couldn’t decide on what to eat because I was not too hungry, she suggested that I order ‘Chole’ which is basically chickpeas immersed in a bold chili flavored gravy along with 2 pieces of deep fried bread on the side and you know I had to try their mango lassi (Didn’t disappoint) … Omg it was so good I decided to go back the next day and this past Saturday. The customer service was AMAZING the owner took my order 8 minutes before they were closing and didn’t seem irritated by my late order and because of that my wallet will always have money for this restaurant . Go see for yourself and tip them accordingly ?“
“I have dined here a couple of times with my family. Buffet dinner is so good. Indian and Pakistani dishes. Plenty of varieties. Each and every items are delicious. Best price for buffet. Please go and have try the buffet dinner. I recommend this place to everyone if you like to enjoy Indo-pakistani dishes. I have suggested them to keep beef items separately, not together with other items in buffet set.Parking: Free parking available. Lots of parking lot.Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place.“
“Absolutely love the food in the restaurant. They came home and catered for my birthday and everything was arranged so beautifully . Food was yum and the arrangement was tastefully done . They were so professional and friendly . Highly recommend this place for your next event .“
“The owner Harjit was particularly attentive and modified a grilled fish dish to ensure compliance with my wife's diabetic requirement. Food was very tasty and served piping hot. Excellent experience.Dietary restrictions: Accommodation of diabetic restrictions.“
“Got a chance to try few items from this restaurant. I used to order Masala maggie from them and it reminds me of the days back in my home country.Their club sandwich was delicious, i tried their paratha and chai all time favorite breakfast item. And today i tried their Vegetable sandwich, it was so good i never had this kind of sandwich before it has mashed masala potato and melted cheese layer along with green mint chutney. Taste was unique and it was all fresh spices were balanced, perfect for lunch when you had nothing in breakfast.“
“Eric James at Mahesh's Kitchen stands out as the best server I've ever encountered. His approach to service is both personal and professional, creating a dining atmosphere that's comfortable and luxurious.Eric's expert knowledge of the menu, combined with his enthusiastic recommendations, brought the culinary experience to a new level. He managed to be present at all the right moments, ensuring our satisfaction with each course. The attention to detail, from the setting of the table to the pacing of the meal, was flawless. Thanks to Eric, our evening was an exquisite blend of fine dining and personalized service.“
“This place was a surprise. Looks like a local bar from outside. Someone recommended it. The indian food was great. Perfect spiced and very tasty. Everyone should try this place once just for food. Would be great place for some drinks and spicy kababs and food.“
“Hidden gem in Sugar Land! Indian Summer is not just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's a place where you can escape the everyday and be transported to a world of vibrant flavors, warm hospitality, and pure culinary joy.P.S. Don't forget to try the Malai Kofta! It's truly something special.Bonus Tip: If you're new to Indian food, let the staff know your spice preference and they'll be happy to guide you towards dishes that you'll love.“
“The food here was amazing, if you’re ever thinking of getting Indian vegetarian food I recommend this place. One of our favorites are the meals that you can get with rice, side, a sweet, and the rice of a day. I got the ghee dosa and it was amazing, it was light and crispy and had an equal amount sides for the dosa. Their mango lassi’s were also really good, they were sweet, creamy, and thick the perfect combination for an amazing mango lassi.Vegetarian options: The whole menu is vegetarian so each option wouldn’t contain any meat.“
“First things first ! This place is POC friendly and the food is amazing. I’ve tried the lamb chops , chicken momos with jhol, chicken tikka missala but what brings me here on a daily basis is the mango lassi and great customer service. I suggest ordering via online/phone or door dash because they take pride in cooking your food fresh and that may cause a delay if you’re in a rush. Don’t walk …. Run to this hidden gem in Houston- Thank me later !“
“I recently visited Zash Cafe and had a delightful experience. The papri chaat and pani puri were not only fresh but also presented beautifully. The chikoo shake was perfect. The service was outstanding, and the lady who served us was exceptionally sweet.“
