The homemade lemonade was fresh and delicious, and the ribeye tacos were incredibly flavorful. But the real star of the meal was the birria tacos — hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy, juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Kitchen La Katrina to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service. “Where to begin… This locally owned restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. A hidden gem outside of the RGV. Met the Owners Juan and his wife who were extremely hospitable, it’s like your dining with family. It’s a small quaint restaurant, which is delightful.

Ok… Getting to the good stuff… The food was deliciously amazing!! I enjoyed picking through the seafood tacos to experience the different flavors. Juan suggested taking a full bite, WOW 🤩 The combination of the corn tortilla, seafood, slaw, the sauce and a squeeze of the lime 🍋‍🟩 was outstanding… the burst of flavors were amazing.

We can’t wait to go back and try other seafood dishes on the menu. Especially the Molcajete filled with fresh seafood.

Oh by the way…. The seafood and other ingredients are fresh and prepared when it’s ordered which makes the whole meal experience so tasty.

“We came down to the valley to visit family and while in the area I noticed a small restaurant with an almost 5⭐️ rating and I had to check it out. And they did not fail!! The food was amazing and their salsa was delicious. It is family owned and the family is so friendly and inviting. Best food I've had down here so far!! This is a new stop for us from now on.”

“We found Joe's by accident and thought we would give them a try. We've had his Brisket, Ribs, Loaded Potatoes, Cheeseburgers and tonight his Street Tacos! Everything is always excellent! And I love his homemade French fries! They remind me of the ones my Mother would make. His prices are always reasonable and you get big portions. Joe's 18 year old daughter is the pitmaster and she does a wonderful job! we highly recommend this little family owned BBQ place. stop by, you won't be disappointed! Tell Joe that Don sent you!”
