This was our first time to eat here. The food was absolutely delicious. James had the chicken fried steak with coleslaw and macaroni & cheese. I had the fried catfish with a baked potato. The food is very fresh and homemade.Service was excellent ? Our waitress made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere has a small town vibe. The Diner appears to have its regular customers as well as newcomers. We will definitely be coming back to eat here again. ?

I was only in town for the night and chose this place because it was nearby and had good reviews. But honestly, I'd recommend skipping it. The service and location were alright, but the food? Not impressive. I only tried the burgers, but if they're anything to go by, I can't see why this place is so highly rated—certainly not for the burgers or fries. Plus, it seems like they fry their fish and fries in the same oil because the fries had a strange taste. I realized it when I found a piece of fried fish among my fries, which was both gross and surprising, as they didn’t taste or smell fishy at all. Definitely not what I was hoping for. Both the fries and burger seemed like they were just store-bought and frozen.

I had the catfish & it definitely makes the top 3 if not the best catfish I had. My wife bought their Valentines Day special which she enjoyed. The steak looked mouthwatering. My 4 year old had the chicken nuggets and were hand breaded.All of their foods we ordered definitely had thought into them. The service was great as well and it's hard to find outstanding service from Waco to Temple. They set the standards for what service should be. Needless to say, we will be keeping this restaurant in mind for future visits.Kid-friendliness: A good assortment of meals for kids. My 4 year old also found the wall decor interesting.

Met a friend here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon at her suggestion. Walked in and a table was available immediately. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Placed our order and food came out quickly. I had Walters BBQ Burger and I have to say that it was delicious! It was messy, but I just couldn't put it down it was so good! The burger came with fries, they were good but could have been hotter, they were only warm. My wife and our friend each had a cheese burger that they said was very good. I enjoyed our meal and I can recommend Double Sky Diner!Parking: Parking was easy right in front of the diner.

I looks like a creaky old former saloon, as it likely was; but they turn out some very satisfying dishes. All of the options have been ample and altogether pleasing. They are homey folk who will maintain the volume in your tea tumbler and check on you multiple times during the meal. We never conserve dessert capacity, but they offer some attractive confections wherewith to tempt their patrons.
