“If you are a meat lover, the place to be a special ribs and kikell ( mild beef soup is cooked with a variety of spices onions and garlic, which gives it a unique flavor and deliciousness) , kitfo Specifically read meat only grinded Smatterd in Spicy Kind of like ghost paper but not as quite spicy as ghost paper but spicy enough with special butter Which is prepared different kinds of spices. You can have it row or slightly cooked depending on your preferences. At least the most famous ethnic dishes Shiro bozenaa, which is cooked with Cubes cut beef or just a plane Shiro.“
“Just visited this cafe today and everything was amazing. Food was great, service was good, and clean environment.Even though there are multiple restaurants to choose from in Dallas area and this location, this cafe offers great services and food.I would definitely recommend this restaurant whether you trying out some Ethiopian/Eritrean food, or just going out dinner, give this place a try and you’ll get good results.Vegetarian options: They have some vegetarian options.“
“If you're looking for authentic Ethiopian dishes this is the spot! The service and quality of food is amazing. Be prepared for a little wait as the food is cooked fresh, always warm and delicious. My recommendation on an order Beef tibs, side of veggies (they will give you an assortment), and lamb tibs. They have tons of other yummy dishes as well.“
“Yosis, the owner, was such a great host to me and my parents. He cared a lot about food allergies and making sure we were happy. And the food definitely made us happy. I have a feeling when my parents visit me in Dallas next time, they’ll be asking to go back here.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free injera bread that they make in-house.“
“Oh my goodness... AMAZING!!! absolutely delicious food and great staff. First time trying Ethiopian food and the only thing I can complain about is that I have not tried this before. We shared the veggie and meat platter. Perfect for two people! I will be coming back.“
“You know it's an authentic place when you walk in and the waiters and customers are all speaking another language that's not English. Was recommended to check out Desta from a Nigerian friend and came with another friend who wanted to try Ethiopian food for the first time. I'm no expert but we had a good time. The menu was a little difficult to navigate and our waitress wasn't fluent in English, but she knew enough to help recommend some dishes to us.We got the veggie combo with injera (kinda like a thin sour fermented pancake) and lamb tibs (non-spicy, not dry). It was a great experience. Everything came out on the injera and you would pull and rip some out to wrap the veggies or lamb (they put the lamb right in the center). There were also extra rolls of injera. No utensils and hand sanitizers gave us the heads up it would probably be a hands-on meal. There were different veggies some a little spicy for me, but we enjoyed ourselves and it was more than enough for 2 people. Prices are reasonable too. About $42 after tax and tip in total. I heard they are also known for their drinks. Overall a great introduction to Ethiopian cuisine and I'd be excited to come again“
“I have been coming here for a long time, and this place never disappoints me. Me and my mom come here for brunch a lot, and the foods always come fresh!! I usually eat fritata, buna (coffee) and tiramisu, and we always buy cake for occasions at this place!“
“The food was outstanding, you can tell the kitchen puts a lot of thought into the dishes and I really enjoyed it - I had the firfir Tibs, the meat was well seasoned and it had a nice kick. The atmosphere was great for our party - we had about 13 people with us and the food came out on time for us all. We enjoyed drinks with the owner and overall had a great time. We had a birthday in our party and they made sure she felt special on her day. I highly recommend the restaurant- parking was easy and getting in and out was a breeze.“
“I was coming back from a ride and decided to try this restaurant as it was close to my home and new to me. This was the first time in years that I had had Ethiopian food. I’m telling you it was a great way to return.Their Geba Weta is a great dish. I’m sure all of the others are just as good. I’m going back for one of their lamb dishes, soon. The owners and staff are exceedingly welcoming, the dish I had was great and the atmosphere was inviting. ግሩም“
“Good Ethiopian food in the area. The staff is good and provides quick service. Calling in for ordering food is difficult as the phones don't connect, so one needs to walk in to order and pickup. This can be a little tiresome unless you are in the area.“
