I am a a fan of Ethiopian food for many years. This place is legit, albeit a bit humble. My wife raves about the chicken quesadilla ( at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant- go figure ! ! ), however since my wife is a Chx quesadilla expert, I take her word as gospel. I typically get the beef tibbs w/ greens & the unique Ethiopian "dry" cottage cheese. Simply outstanding! ! Have been going here for years. Food was really good, really spicy and service was great! I placed an order for pickup and it was ready in 15 mins. The veg plate is amazing! It comes with 5-6 veggies and all havecso much flavor. Now I ordered the lamb tibs and they needed flavor or seasoning it was a bit plain but delicious. I wouldn't recommend to come and eat in the restaurant it's really small in a weird neighborhood but ordering takeout is the way to go! Portion are big as well. Best place hands down. I tried this food for the first time 4 years ago & fell in love. As the years passed, I moved out of the area. Tried other Ethiopian places near me but they never exceeded my expectations in taste like Star Bukris has. Anytime I crave it, I gladly take the 30min drive. The veggie combo & doro wot is my go-to comfort food
