“I haven’t had a crazy amount of food truck food, but this one hands down definitely had one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Menu was incredibly easy to understand, so you know exactly what you’re getting which is great. Secondly, we came with a group of almost 10 people and my food was prepared in less than 19 minutes. The burger itself what delicious and was worth it. The food is very high quality and original.“

“Saturday afternoons are lively here at Freiheits. There were lots of tables still available and yet this fine establishment still seemed quite busy. Wendy was our server. Even though she seemed to be running around everywhere at once, breathless, her timing was always impeccable with regard to our table. Wendy's visits to our table were never rushed nor pressured. She made sure our orders arrived in prime shape and our beverages consistently topped off. Our food was nothing short of amazing. The burgers we ordered were tender and juicy. They were neither bricks nor dripping down our arms. The country fried steaks we ordered filled the entire plate with a delectably fine Southern crunchiness (the breading) enjoying the succulent, flavorful steak. The portions were large and we were pleased to be provided with a takeout box to continue our stellar dining experience with subsequent meals. I gently reheated my country fried steak in a dry cast-iron skillet for several minutes for breakfast Sunday morning accompanied with some eggs and hash browns. Our expectations were met. Compliments to Wendy and the chef.“

“Came here on a dime! Was in the area didn’t want the loud bar type place for a bite. My bf and I walked in with a warm welcome. We ordered and sat down the charming place was nice and quiet. I love the ice cream parlor vibe with vintage setting with the diner seats and stadium seats. Had my heart with the little table and chairs for the littles. We were pleasantly surprised! The FOOD yum!! we definitely agreed we would be back and added to the list.“

“Came in yesterday and my goodness the food was awesome! Best fried pickles I’ve had to date. My lemon drop martini was perfect! I had their BLT off the brunch menu and it was amazing. I like chewy bacon and this was a bit crunchy for my taste but still good. Definitely coming back here.“

“My family has always loved The Reel and eat there often. We received a favor gift card after our 2nd child and decided to use it to have dinner delivered by Favor from The Reel. I was very disappointed in my stuffed flounder. There was no Avocado, cherry tomatoes or lump crab on it and it seemed more like the lunch portion than the $39.20 dinner portion I usually get. lesson learned I guess as I feel this is on The Reel and not our Favor driver.“

“Hubby and I just took our three small dogs here to eat. What a pleasant experience! Pet friendly out front eating! Reagan was our server and she was excellent! Sweet, knowledgeable, courteous and she checked on us often to see if we needed anything. Food was delicious! Carne guisada, enchiladas, guacamole-all top notch delicious! Margaritas are also some of the best we ever had! Fair prices! Recommend! We are from Texas, but moved to Georgia-sure Miss good Texmex!🥰“

“Stopped in late Friday, for some eats and drinks, don’t be shy away as the outside is deceptively plain for the amazing creative and cozy decor inside. Well laid out with high top tables, low top tables and cozy couches and chairs for a great combination of eating and socializing spaces. We started with the Brussel sprouts, they were tasty and well seasoned, be prepared it was the most giant order I have ever seen for an order of sprouts! We followed the sprouts with the queso and chips, and it rivaled any queso I have had, great flavor and good chips. For the main we split the double burger and I have to say it is what made me write this review. It was absolutely the most delicious gourmet burger I have had in a long time! Completely surprised me with the amazing flavor and combination of toppings. This burger easily rivals Nancy’s Hustle burger in Houston!!! If you are in the area this is a required stop.“

“I am from Austin. I got dropped off in the new Braunfels area coming from San Antonio, I was looking for a place to wait for my ride. I ordered a pastor taco and lengua taco. I loved the pastor the salsas, the tortillas were home-made, delicious! The cucumber lime water is so good! This will be my new stop anytime I travel back home from San Antonio.“

You might consider splitting with a fried because of the generous portions. The chicken fried steak was enormous and we'll seasoned with a perfect crust. Okra was well cooked with a great crust and no spines.“

“Just tried this place and man those wings slap! My bf had these blueberry wings, weird combination but dam those wings were so good! Sweet and savory. I had the lemon pepper bc its my favorite flavor. They were so crispy and seasoned very well. The waitress Zoe shout out to her, she did her job too, beyond nice and attentive. “Update 2023: Unfortunately the Elks isn't what it used to be...... The last few times we've eaten there have been a disappointment, it's been warm inside and they managed to run off good leadership and stewards of the community!!

They always welcome new guests, serve great food, have the best wood dance floor in New Braunfels, and there quite a few special people that volunteer and work there. Dances are always open to the public, so join us sometime!!“
