Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar

Great atmosphere with dining in an old mill with a view of the river if you sit outside! Hadley was our server and she was fabulous - very welcoming, friendly and answered any questions we had. The menu selections were great, the onion rings were AWESOME!!!

Saturday night, very busy. Restaurant has probably 100 tables. Staff is super friendly. Food took a while to come after we ordered, but it was super busy, so we can't hold it against them. Great place to eat!

As always very good!! Loved everything about this place!! Our waiter Luca was amazing!! He was very attentive, friendly and all around a great guy!!

My family and I have to stop by every time we are around New Braunfels. Amazing meals and when you catch the live music, the wait is worth it.

Food is great! I highly recommend trying the chicken fried steak or catfish. It’s all outdoors, and the ambiance is amazing. I will say very kid friendly and parking can be annoying sometimes.

The food is underwhelming. My husband hated the smell of his pulled pork sandwich and left more than half uneaten. Fried potatoes are boring. Squash was flavorless. Fried shrimp was undercooked. Service was adequate - new server who could use more experience. Chips and queso had small chip fragments in half the basket.

If you only knew the backstory…..how they treat their employees. Getting in their face and yelling at them in from of co workers. No care/concern for their wellbeing I will never eat here again after what I witnessed These are young people here and you have an opportunity to teach them some things about how people should be treated….YOU GUYS FAILED!!!!😥😥😥😥
