Unfortunately, our dining experience was very disappointing due to poor service and lack of attention to the food. Our server Mckay M. appeared rushed and was not friendly from the start. When I asked for an à la carte Serrano pepper, she oddly offered salsa on the side instead, which didn’t make sense. I ordered the chicken piccata, which is one of my all-time favorite dishes. When our meals arrived, both plates were missing capers entirely. I politely brought this to the server’s attention, and instead of apologizing or acknowledging the mistake, she brushed it off and asked if she could bring me a side of capers. She even suggested they may have forgotten to add enough capers, when it was very clear that neither plate had any capers at all. Eventually, she brought a small cup of warmed capers on the side, completely missing the point that capers are meant to be sautéed in the white wine sauce to give chicken piccata its signature flavor. Capers straight from a jar on the side do not fix the dish. Her blunt attitude and dismissive response ruined the experience. This was also my parents’ first visit to the restaurant, and unfortunately, they left feeling just as disappointed. Overall, the service and handling of a simple issue made what should have been an enjoyable meal a terrible experience.

Beautiful place, most of the food was absolutely off the chart but the steak (bone in ribeye special) was very underwhelming. The value mainly came from the ambiance, service, sides and appetizers. The steak was not a particularly good cut of steak and it tasted like ash

We had a reservation for a family of 5, we were seated at the bar! It was loud, crowded and unpleasant!. We asked for a table. They had to find our waitress or appoint one to our table as we were not in the dining area; clearly this was part of the BAR!!!! Food was good as usual. Waitress was overwhelmed did not see her much, napkins get up and get them! What the hell was management thinking? Stay away on weekends!

We had a reservation for a table, they stuck us in a booth at the BAR! People at the bar were LOUD. They had to find our Waitress. Thankfully, the food was excellent but because of our location; that was away from all the other tables we were not well taken care of. We needed napkins, I got up found them, same with refills. After we paid I could not find the waitress for parking validation. Avoid this place on weekends just too busy.

Visited good friends that live in New Braunfels and went out for dinner at Gruene River Grill. The food was very good, service was very good, and the restaurant was very charming and in a beautiful location on the river.

Decent food a bit pricey but that's typical for Gruene area. My biggest issue was that the restaurant parking costs $8.50 for 2 hrs and you must pay online by CC THEN request a refund afterward using a restaurant-provided code.

Good food and nice location but as a veteran they offer 10% military discount ONLY for the veteran. I find that to be offensive. I spent over $100 I. There with appetizers beer entrees and desert and you have me $2.50/off. Probably better to not even have a discount. With sacrifices veterans make the family also makes sacrifices. I would’ve rather you just keep your discount.

Food is phenomenal, good portions, great flavor. Atmosphere is very cool, inside a barn feel, well laid out, plenty of room for your large or smaller group/couples to visit. Staff is on point, very attentive and know their menus very well. Be sure to take time to capture a few pictures while visiting, so many great photo opportunities.
