I’m surprised this place has decent reviews. The ice cream is not good at all. Very icy, little flavor. Cute shop and location of course, and the service was good. But even my young children didn’t want to finish their ice cream.
We stopped by here for dessert after lunch at the Gruene River Grill. The ice cream was delicious and a two-scoop tub was more than enough. Our daughter, who has multiple food allergies, was able to safely eat the avocado coconut ice cream and enjoyed it very much. The shop was very careful with her allergies and used a fresh scoop for her to avoid cross-contamination, which was much appreciated. Would recommend this place to everyone.
Rhea’s is the best in new braunfels. They have such interesting & delicious flavors the ice cream is amazing. I have never seen such unique flavors. I went on on a weekend afternoon so it was quite busy but worth the wait. They also let you try samples and all the staff I’ve encountered have been incredibly friendly. Local, fresh, and delicious.
