We love going to Gruene and staying at the Gruene Mansion Inn. It's a tradition for us. We go for a few days over the Christmas holiday and then we always stay a few times during the Spring and Summer. Each room is charming and different. We typically stay in the Sunday Haus which has a seating area downstairs with a fireplace and a spiral staircase leading up to a large room with. A king size bed and balcony. It's fun to listen to the bands playing at Oma's secret garden. The spiral stairs are a little hard to navigate - justFYI. They have plenty of rooms with normal stairs. Recently we have been staying at the Corn Crib cottage which has a sweet little loft that my 4 year old stays in. The breakfast is fantastic. Especially the coffee!The reason I decided to write a review however is we just got back from our holiday stay when I received a phone call that the maid had found my wedding rings - I had left them behind. Eek! It was Friday and I was leaving for Boston on Sunday (Christmas Day). The woman was so empathetic and assured me she would get them to me on time. She overnighted and I got them back on my finger the next day. Hallelujah!!

Egg souffle has small heirloom tomatoes and fresh parmesan grated on top..souffle taste is subtle. Home-baked seedy bread is great choice for toasting..add bacon and you have a breakfast that is perfection..and I am not a breakfast person!

Beautiful B&B! The grounds are immaculate, and there are photo ops everywhere you look. The location can't be beat, as everything to do in Gruene is just steps away. We stayed in the River Lookout room. It was perfect! Charming cottage with an amazing river view, private patio with rocking chairs, adorable upscale (yet rustic) decor, and an incredibly comfortable bed! The Pantry has delicious pastries and cook-to-order breakfasts. I can't wait to return for another stay during colder months!

CHARMING!!! Beautiful exterior gorgeous interior breakfast was perfect ? Good portions large variety of options for drinks and a quaint / quiet dining hall. We actually stayed at the Gruene Mansion Inn but didn't get a chance to dine here until our last morning. Of course like anywhere in Gruene the ambiance is impeccable. We ate outside even in late August and it was still lovely. The food choices are somewhat limited, but everything we had was delicious. I got a couple of breakfast tacos that were packed and delicious (chorizo in one, bacon in the other). Wife got the egg soufflé with bacon and it was absolutely astounding! Jiggly, soft, and delicious. Highly recommended!We also got a blueberry ginger scone. Not too sweet but very flavorful!

Beautiful place to stay that's a 5-10 minute walk to everything in Gruene - music, restaurants, shopping, tubing, etc. The rooms are decorated in a cool, funky, cozy way. The employees are all fantastic! The breakfast is DELICIOUS!!!

Has an old school feel but best hospitality I’ve experienced during our Texas trip. Coming from Louisiana, this place is as country as it gets in all the most beautiful ways. Felt like we were staying at an old relatives mansion, the service was unmatched

This is a hidden gem my husband and I have been going to for as long as we have been locals. The restaurant is wonderful to get breakfast even if you are not staying at the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is superb. They even make their salsa by hand!!!
