I've been to more than two dozen different Chicken Express locations mostly in Amarillo and the DFW area. To call this one the worst might be an understatement.
First is the wait time: 30 minutes for fast food. Not even kidding. I saw multiple people walk out, the number of people waiting for food more than doubled the number of people eating it. This was my 1st time going to eat at chicken express I loved their sweet tea the food was delicious ,the staff was really pleasant, and the restaurant was clean.
I came to order at 10:45 in the morning on 5/17/2026. The guy on speaker was completely totally rude. When I asked for sweet tea, he said they didn’t have any. So I gave him a different order for the drink. When I asked for unsweet tea, I said oh you don’t have tea ready. And he said rudely, no, we don’t, we just opened! My thoughts are They would start making the tea early so it would be ready for the 10:30 AM opening. Maybe they should change opening to 11.
