when we travel to pasadena for work we always plan a stop for breakfast or brunch at pelican! great food!!
Good food, great service, and a true cafe feel makes this place a little slice of heaven in the middle of the Pasadena, Deer Park, and La Porte area. This area has been needing a good cafe like this. That's not to undermine other local cafes, this one just feels more cozy. The Driller was more than enough food. Good portions. Haven't had lunch here as this was my first time. Will update when I do.
The food was great , but the service…. It took literally thirty minutes to get drinks. I would definitely return if the service can step it up a notch.

Customers praise the food, which is worth the wait, even for larger groups. The portions are generous. The Reuben sandwich is wonderful, and the onion rings have the lightest breading. While the service can be off and the staff dismissive and rude, the food is good and came quickly.
