“We had a good time overall at Shogun Hibachi Grill and Sushi. The chef wasn’t the best hibachi chef we’ve had, but he did a decent job and listened when we asked for our vegetables to be well done, which we appreciated. The food was fine—good, but nothing particularly memorable.

The restaurant was clean, well designed, and well lit, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The prices were also reasonable, which was a nice surprise.

That said, it wasn’t memorable enough for us to feel the need to come back. We were also surprised that they don’t offer hot tea and that there are no sauce options for the hibachi—just one standard sauce, with no teriyaki or alternatives. The sauce was okay, but not something that stood out.

Overall, a pleasant experience with fair prices and good service, just not a place we’d go out of our way to return to.“
