“I really like this place. The chicken stew special is pretty good, the rice is the perfect portion, and the mango lassi isn't overly sweet. The staff is polite and the girl at the front was helpful when I wanted to try something new. I like that the curry comes in a Togo bowl so I can just throw a lid on it, very convenient.“
“Had amazing time with my friend tonight. Shetty was able to recommend some of their special which we really enjoyed. Food was amazing and really hit the spot. It was flavorful and pack just enough heat. Service was great. They consistently checked on us.“
“Just moved here from London and this place is up there with the best Persian/Levantine restaurants. Unbelievably fresh falafel, proper Middle Eastern hummus with tahini and fresh, hot, fluffy bread. The food here is legitimately incredible. Service was fine, we’ll definitely return. Thank you“
“My wife and I came here and ordered the chicken tikka quesadilla and the tikka over rice. It was great tasting, good quality, and decently priced. The tikka over rice way a better value on price/quantity but if you aren't that hungry the quesadillas are good too. We'll be back because next we need to try their birria tacos.“
“We visited at their new location and loved it. They were kind and friendly. My kids wolfed down the breakfast quesadilla and the tacos that came with were wonderful - I don’t like meat and I still loved them. The green sauce was good enough to drink. My husband wants to go back for dinner!!!“
“Food was incredible, we ordered Chicken kabab plate, chicken, Shawarma wrap, hummus, falafel plate, and Kinbeh. Amazing..... the flavor, and authentic taste is amazing. Don't miss this food truck. His recipes and customer service are a gold mine.“
“I love this place. The food is always on point and the customer service is great. The staff make you feel so at home that I make an effort to get food here at least once a month. And we’re the type that don’t eat out often. But this place is healthy and delicious and the beef rice bowl just hits right. My son always finishes all his food from here…always!!“
“Absolutely perfect pizza. We ordered the garlic knots, bbq chicken pizza, and butter chicken pizza for delivery. The garlic knots have full flavor and mounds of cheese, awesome. Then we tried the pizza! I thought the bbq chicken would be hard to beat. The crust was perfect, so much flavor, plenty of toppings and great portion. When I had the butter chicken I was floored. Not what I expected. Spicy enough, wonderful flavor, fresh toppings. Can’t wait to order again. Bonus: beautifully presented. Everything looks like a picture, which unfortunately I ate too fast too take.“
“This is the restaurant I love the most in Austin City. They serve all kind of authentic Halal Yemeni dishes. We used to drive all the way to Dallas for Hadramout. Those days are over. Now Hadramout is in Austin. Almost every week I'm having Hadramout with my family and friends since they opened.I love all of their dishes. You name it from Mandi, Kabsa, Haneeth, Zurbian to Grilled Fish. I've tried everything. Here is my rating if you want to know about it.Lamb MandiVery authentic taste9.4/10Lamb KabsaIt's one of my favorites9.5/10Lamb HaneethVery tender & flavorful8.9/10Zurbian LambThe most unique one8.5/10Grilled Fish over RiceVery flaky & oily. I will try 'em anytime soon. The only complain I have and a few of my friends have is that the portions are getting smaller day by day. Other than that they didn't compromise with their quality at all. I really appreciate their hard work.Highly recommended! ?“
“Bought Chicken Biriyani and it tastes good. The spice (salt and chili powder) is just perfect. I like it better than NYC chili biriyani. It’s the only Bengali restaurant and grocery in Austin as I was told. They had ample amount of rice and chicken pieces and the price $12 was just right for the size.“
“Zaza's Chicken Jalapeno Wrap packs a punch! Spicy jals meets the juicy chicken, all wrapped in a perfectly toasted tortilla. Service at Zaza is as vibrant as they are friendly and quick. The casual, sunlit ambience makes it a fiesta for your taste buds and mood. Don't miss this gem for a flavorful, filling lunch! I would 100% recommend to try at this restaurant.“
“An underrated Mediterranean spot close to Parmer! The falafel was fantastic and one of the best I've had in Austin. Don't skip out on the tahini sauce either, it is also delicious!I do wish the atmosphere was a bit more inviting. I try not to have high expectations when dining in at food trucks—but I think keeping just the picnic tables with some nice umbrellas would be a welcome change from the current setup with a metal tent.Service was also great and they are very generous on the portion sizes as well. Overall, excited to go back and try more! Very glad to have this food truck close to where I work.P.S. Look at how neatly the falafel is arranged on the rice! :D“
“I came around 8:30pm on a Friday night, and it wasn't too pack. Based on the menu picture, I ordered the kebab, and the guy told me that the meat was a mix of lamb and beef. I also ordered the tikka, and he told me that the meat is chicken. When I got the food, it didn't look like the picture in the menu. The tikka was delicious. It came as a plate full of chicken even under the tomato and rice. It had salad, hummus, and pita bread included. The hummus was smooth and had a more charred taste to it. The salad was sour and complimented the chicken. I would get it again since it could actually feed two people. The kebab looked more like a large empanada than what I was expecting. It was good too with juicy meat and tomato inside and cost $10. In my opinion, the tikka was more worth it and cost around $16. There are some tables to sit outside. I also wanted to try the okra, but it was sold out.“
“This is my favorite place to eat in and around Austin. The Pita Shack is my “go to” once or twice a week. The food is delicious and healthy. LOVE the kebab! The owners are extremely friendly. Very lovely place. I’m extremely happy I found this place.“
