“This was a spur of the moment visit while passing through Pittsburgh. We were greeted as soon as we entered the clean and nicely decorated dining room. My husband was confused by the menu, there could be some things made more clear. ( I assumed, and rightly so, that there would be an upcharge for mac/cheese as one of his sides for his plate meal. Ps, plate meal comes on a tray, not a plate.) That being said, the counter ladies were nice and the bbq was tasty. I was confused when closing the bill it asked for a tip, as we had no service at the table. It's get your own drinks and dump your trash. I did enjoy the chopped brisket wrap; you can watch them chop it, but they don't weigh it, just give you a handful. My husband's 1 meat pulled pork plate did not look like much on the tray they use. But we came for the bbq, and that was perfectly done.”

“I absolutely adore Madeline's! Such a sweet addition to our downtown area. The food is wonderful and the aesthetic is precious. Go check them out and try the Smash Berry & Feta Toast!”

“If the service was better they would get 5 stars! We have to get up to get our own silverware, to go boxes and they never return to ask you if you need napkins or refills. We called out to our waitress multiple times for her to assist us and she sat on her buttocks gossiping with her coworker. Alright lady I hope you enjoy your tip but don't expect another one. We would rather request a new or different waitress from now on. Idk if this is a family run buisness but they need to do better as their food is slacking in quality. If we have a bad time, the food will also taste bad and the entire experience is spoiled. Your buisness can be put on the line by bad behavior from your staff and I hope the owners don't want that to happen. I also understand that everyone has bad days, but I am a reoccurring customer for years! And I've finally had enough.”

“Great place for drinks, dinner, or a planned party with a meal. Plenty of parking. Unfortunately, the band and dance area is not accessible to handicapped individuals. Overall, it's a great place to go out and have a great time. By the way, I am a disabled veteran that needs some assistance, but I really had a great time. “Wow! Most authentic around! Everything is so fresh! Homemade corn and flour tortillas. I’ve had multiple dishes here and every bite is enjoyable. I’m a white girl and not every place I go to gives me spicy sauce when I ask for it. I guess some assume I’m white and Can’t handle it BUT NOT HERE! they did not bat an eye. So friendly and wonderful service! I look forward to eating here every chance I get.”

“Invited for a friend’s birthday dinner. The food was delicious!!!! Best chicken fried steak I ever had!!!! The wine and appetizers were amazing. Great place for that romantic dinner or special occasion.”

“Very great tex-mex food. A little more authentic than normal tex-mex which is a bonus. By far the best salsa you will ever have and the chips taste homemade and original. This is a must stop for us.”

“Great Tacos. I love the Green sauce. TheOwners are really nice. Everything is cook to order so it takes a few min. The only downside is it's outdoor seating only. It may not look fancy but in100% recommended the food!!!”

“Had this place's food back in 2010 - 2011. My relatives are natives of Pittsburg TX. And when I went down to visit I was introduced to this fantastic gem of a restaurant. It's a nice home/family feel. Again, AMAZING FOOD. And the service was on par with the Amazing food. Couldn't ask for better customer service actually. 5 out of 5.”

“Our first time at Golden Chick did not disappoint! First of all, the place was clean and the staff was friendly! I had the surf and turf which came with chicken and shrimp, both were good. My favorite item was the fried okra!!!! We will go back and I highly recommend this place!!!”

“We have been here twice now. We just moved to town and we are from a bigger metropolis where a mexican restraurant/tex-mex restaurant is within a stone's throw in each direction and let me just say, we are impressed. In small town east Texas is a perfect place to get our "fix". The chicken in both the fajitas and in the quesadillas are really good and not dry, the chips and salsa are spot on!, and the margaritas are some of the best I have had and we have visited our fair share of mexican restaurants. The hubby had the queso blanco with brisket and pico and I even took some even though I am not a "cheese" person, it was really good! Rice is fluffy and flavorful, the charro beans are also really good....all around, the place was amazing! Staff was quick and friendly, and the place was clean and inviting. We will be back over and over again!”
