“I have been going to this place since it was in the house on 7th and I-35. Best TRUE Tex-Mex (or as we always called it, Mexican) food restaurants around. I think this type of food is becoming a lost art when you move away from the Texas border, where it began. People are so much about Fajitas and fancy style Mexican food nowadays, they don't appreciate the traditional flavors. I grew up on the cheese enchiladas with carne sauce. They bring the taco before the rest of the meal. All very traditional and awesome! Mexican Martini's are great and if you haven't tried the lemonade, I highly recommend it! The service is also very good. Glad to see a family owned place like this still thriving in the ever changing Austin landscape. Hope to go there for many years to come!”

“I was never much on coffee throughout my years, that is until my daughter convinced me to try Hebrews. It took me a while before I would, because I never liked ANY coffee place I’ve tried. It just always tasted so bitter to me. Then I finally stopped by… I want to let it be known that, that was a little over two years ago. And I have been coming here DAILY ever since! ABSOLUTELY the BEST coffee and service I’ve ever had! They know me and what I like. The ONLY thing I would change would be the hours. Wish they would open a little earlier and close a little later. But I still love them and REFUSE to go anywhere else.🥰”

“Me and my husband stumbled on this place while in Mt Pleasant and I’m not even kidding, the Big Sassy sandwich is the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had in my whole life! The broccoli cheese soup was amazing. My husband had a chicken salad sandwich with potato soup and he also loved his food very much! The staff was very friendly and they even gave us samples of their turtle cheesecake and it was so good! He took home a piece of it and 2 iced cookies and I took home a snickerdoodle cookie. We will definitely be back!”

From the moment you walk in, the place has a warm, down-home feel — exactly the kind of restaurant we love to find. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Now let’s talk about the food… absolutely amazing. The pupusas were some of the best we’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care. The rice and beans were spot-on as well — simple, flavorful, and the perfect complement to the meal. And the chips and salsa… wow. The salsa was pure liquid heaven. Seriously good. The portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. We live a little over an hour away, but this place has officially been added to our must-visit rotation whenever we’re in the area. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re anywhere near Mt.
