I can't remember how its been but I used to frequent this place before the name change and after my recent revisit I can't see why I stopped. The food was delicious the tea, loose leaf was excellent you should try. I enjoyed myself.
Enchiladas are served on Fridays only, so we wanted to try it out.
First, if you go on Saturdays or maybe some weekdays after school, you'll meet the most adorable brand ambassador ever, Ellie.
She is the cutest little girl and so very articulate. Her smile lights up the room. It doesn't take much to see where she gets it from. Her mother and father own the restaurant that they named after her. They are the most beautiful couple, so polite so cordial and so engaging....read full review

Ellie's Café & Tea Room is a cute restaurant in the middle of an antique mall, so guests can shop while having a high tea or soup/sandwich combo or enjoying the baked goods. The Texas heat is grilled pimento cheese with candied poblanos and bacon, and the salad can be subbed for tomato soup for dipping. The soup is a favorite part, and they go well together. Portions are filling. "The indulgence" is a half-sandwich plus soup/salad plus a drink plus dessert for $18 - a really good deal. The chocolate silk pie is fantastic. Service is great and everyone is super friendly. Every menu item is excellent and the servers are nice and very helpful. The service was excellent as well as the food, with lots to pick from the menu. The food was delicious and the tea, loose leaf, was excellent. Enchiladas are served on Fridays only. They serve generous portions of good food. The soup is full body, delicious and piping hot. The tomato bisque was excellent, none better, with great flavor and aroma. Everything was fresh and made by hand. Many of the menu options are similar to Chocolate Angel, but eating at Ellie's shows they are a step above the other tea room. The Turkey sandwich with blueberry compote is so good, and the strawberry and chocolate cake is heaven. The tea room is beautiful, even though it's in the middle of the antique mall. It feels intimate and whimsical.
