“Delicious food, great service, and you get salsa AND queso with your tortilla chips!! We’ll be back.“
“Drive through. Excellent chicken flautas, huevos rancheros are good rolled up in the included tortillas. Also had the corn with mayonnaise and hot sauce. I really enjoy this corn dish. The drinks are really good. We had the strawberry and the melon. Taste is faithful to the fruit and is mixed with ice. Lots better than carbonated beverages. Also have had excellent tamales which are white corn massa with no included meat. Surprisingly good with a sweet taste. Service at the drive through is quick and good for a good pickup meal.“
“Food was good. We arrived about 45 minutes from closing time so we were one of the only tables in the dining room but it took a long time to get our food and service was just OK. They were probably busy with the closing duties. Margarita was terrible. Would go back though and would recommend.“

“We enjoyed our gorditas! I had beef and Jen had the pork. We drove through, so the atmosphere score doesn't really reflect on the inside but I'm sure it's ok. Service was good, we ordered and he asked us to pull around front. The wait was quick. One thing I didn't like was the condition of the menu. I didn't know what to order or how much it cost. They need to fix that.“

“I ordered the shredded chicken enchiladas with white cheese sauce. It came with rice and beans. I ask for some green sauce, because I like a little picante. The food came out hot and was very tasty. The portions was good size. It was not oily or greasy like other places I eaten I cleaned up the plate.“

“Absolutely delicious! Drove through Port Lavaca on our way home from Rockport and decided to stop in and support the local economy (vs a chain restaurant) and so glad we did! Got a #24 and #25 and both were delicious! The habanero sauce is HOT!!!!! and chips were thick and crispy!!!!“

“This is a great authentic mexican restaurant. There is a large varied menu. Serving all traditional tex-mex items. They offer many lunch specials daily. They also serve pancakes. The service is absolutely fantastic. Very friendly staff and responsive to the customer. Atmosphere is pleasant, and all the local, whether plant workers or the countless people who enjoy fishing in Matagorda Bay, all love this place. One of the vert best dining locations in Port Lavaca.“

“Well, when they charge $8.99 for a plate of mini tacos and you get 2 sodas and your total bill is $18.99, makes me question prices, math, and who makes drink prices at $4.50 each. That is interesting how business employees make up prices that scream don't eat here again...“

“Homey atmosphere..50 + years in business..food a bit bland but salt gets you there. Staff ..our waitress was perfect. Homemade tortillas and a hometown feel where everyone who's there seems to know each others name kinda thing. Great hot sauce. A kid friendly for sure and even BLTs..a once a weeker.
Vegetarian options: Salads and rice and beans
Kid-friendliness: Food friendly for sure ..big place. Sit where u want. Lots of room between tables“

“Truly a cozy little stop. Great food, great staff, and great tea. There are a lot of stigmas in Port Lavaca about the Mexican food places because there are so many, but don't let this deter you from eating here. We go to church right down the road and often come here on Sundays. It's worth it.“

“Waitress was really nice, restaurant & bathrooms were clean. My parents really liked the fried chicken & onion rings. My husband had carne guisada & it was good. I had chicken flautas & my niece had enchiladas, it was good just needed a little bit of seasoning but that's just my opinion.“

“We had heard that their burgers were very good so we decided to try them. We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers and onion rings. Everything was fantastic. The burgers tasted like a homemade burger. So tasty and juicy. The onion rings were wonderful too. We will definitely be going back!“
