“Came in today for the first time and was very pleased. Staff and manager/owner were so friendly and helpful. Food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. They were down a grill and trying to make a lunch catering order, so my food took longer than normal, but I wasn’t in a hurry at all so I didn’t mind. They kept me updated on the food timing and even offered to comp my meal for the slow cooking. The restroom was immaculate and well stocked with supplies for any ladies or baby needs.Parking can be hard since it’s downtown but well worth a little walk to have great food and service.I had the BLT with ago and avacado.“

“Sometimes the only place to get the real thing, is from the real place. This place is about as real as it gets. The cabeza taco is a fresh and crisp homemade tortilla filled with meat. Exceptionally seasoned and exactly as they are supposed to be. And while the meat is really good, I appreciated the tortilla just a little more, because they can be hard to find, not being in Texas much. Sprinkle chopped onion and cilantro to taste, top with hot sauce or salsa, eat and repeat! The service is is good, the building well worn from happy eating, is clean and perfectly ready for dinner. I'm assuming if you live here you know, but if you don't and you see this, go here. Try something new, because the food is fantastic. Thanks for the tea in an honest to god tea glass, it's good being home sometimes !!“

“You really get your money's worth at mi ranchito! The people are friendly the environment is easygoing and the food is amazing! The Carne guisada is right on point soft and spiced just right. No oversized pieces with fat mixed into it all lean meat and very tender. Really love it and they have won my business. And they also do catering!“

“Great family dinner spot. The food was fresh and hot. We got the ground beef chalupas and tacos al carbón, both Were tasty and fresh and tasty. Definitely a better trucker friendly stop. There is a truck stop right next door with a ton of parking.Parking: Truck parking in the back of restaurant entrance at the truck stop off the street NOT highway. No northbound entrance at the time of visit. Had to go south to hit a U turn“

“Always great food here. Place is small so when it's busy it's very busy. But food always comes out hot and fresh and most importantly deliciousKid-friendliness: Bring kids if you want. Just a restaurantParking: Big parking lot bit don't be fooled it's a small dinner with limited seatingWheelchair accessibility: Not much space inside so it will be a tight squeeze for a wheel chair.“

“1st time was 3 weeks ago. 2nd time yesterday. Now It's on my go to every week list. So Never, I mean NEVER buy taco or chalupa shells from a grocery store again. Go to Venturas. Have lunch, dinner, snack and Then order a dozen or 2 or 3 dozen shells to take home. Your life will improve. You will be happier. Those shells are "magically delicious" to steal a slogan. And their food is great too, along with their service.“

“We were visiting Victoria and visited Las Palmas for dinner. It was absolutely incredible! Even though the restaurant was quite busy, the service was great and the food amazing! Definitely worth a visit if you're lucky enough to be in the area.“

“The tacos are full. Like full full. Eating one is like consuming two, and that's part of the problem. The food tastes great, but the tortilla, as soft as it is, cannot hold the food and will eventually rip spilling all that great food out. You'll need a fork to wrap things up. The salsa was good, not spicy at all. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The place itself needs a bit of attention, some renovation. But the drive thru is pretty much non-stop. Overall very good. Just get yourself a plate or an extra tortilla.“

“I was passing through Victoria and decided to stop here for late dinner on the road. They have a drive thru. I must say, the burgers here are AMAZING! Totally worth the stop. I plan to stop here each time I pass by this place! I ordered the double burger combo with cheese and fries.I also ordered fried mushrooms, however I give those a 3 out of 5stars.Regardless, YOU MUST TRY THE BURGERS! The meat is well cooked and so juicy and flavorful! Love it, love it, love it!“

“Took too long to get a waitress, the parking lot is way too small, the inside is too small for the amount of people that go there... a lot of the food made isn't seasoned right and the chips are served stale and a day old....Parking: Needs to expand the lot and make it more organized“

“This is my first time eating here. It's where Church's fried Chicken used to be off of Polk and Navarro. I'm always on the go and don't always have my home cooked meals prepared. When I eat out I'm looking for convenience, reasonable prices and delicious foods. This restaurant hits all three for me. They're reasonable enough I ordered three tacos that were medium to large sized $21.00. and they were super delicious plus it's just right down the street from the major shopping center of town. It's an unassuming place as it's a small business and it's just starting out. What it lacks in appearance it more than makes up for in great food and price. Don't need to be afraid to try it.“

“This was our first time trying the restaurant. I was surprised at how good the food was. The staff was friendly but a little slow and there aren't very many tables for big parties. There were only a few of us so we were seated fairly quickly. My husband and I shared the molcajete. It had grilled beef and chicken fajitas, sausage, shrimp, nopalitos, onions, tomato, green bell pepper, and a jalapeño. It came with a side of rice, carrots beans, guacamole, and pico de gallo. It was all very delicious.“

“Holy cow. This place caught us off guard. And so glad it did. My mother, brother and I were heading to Beeville for a funeral. We were passing through Victoria and wanted breakfast. The first place we picked from Yelp, we couldn't get to as there was a walk-a-thon or marathon or something it access to the place were we heading was blocked. So we headed out of town and saw Jalapeño's. Pulled in. And got a table. Service was great. I got two small bean bacon and cheese breakfast tacos. They were probably the best I've ever had - at least as far back as I can remember. My mom had pancakes and my brother had the omelette. We all sampled each other's and everything tasted so good. The corn and flour tortillas are made fresh there. Salsas too are made there from scratch. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy.“
“Really good food, I got a taco this morning, and I can tell you the size of the taco is definitely worth the price, go anywhere else and pay the same price and you’ll get a skinny baby taco. Not here though. ???? 100000% recommend for your breakfast tacos. ?“

“My folks and I decided to test this place out as it had good reviews. They were not wrong! Upon arriving we saw it was a good size and sat where we wished. I was glad to see they had horchata and some dishes I have not seen in other places. I got entomatadas and was glad to see they came out with queso fresco like in Mexico. My mom got caldo de res and she said it was amazing. Dad got tripas and bro got nachos. Felt very homey in there. I approve and can't wait to go back again!“
