“My favorite restaurant from my childhood. I'm 69 now and I remember my parents taking the whole family to Bill Millers when I was a very small child in San Antonio.My favorite dish here is the chopped barbecue sandwich and their amazing, huge cut fries.This particular location was a very happy surprise when I came to visit my oldest son in Portland, TX from my home in Kansas.My son is a barbecue aficionado and is always telling me how I shouldn't waste my time with Bill Millers when Texas has such amazing barbecue places like Butters BBQ down the road in Sinton, and all the famous places in Austin, Lockhart, etc. But, Bill Millers is just my favorite regular barbecue place. Quick, convenient, yes, not in the Texas Monthly top 50, but good brisket, sausage, chicken... And then the awesome chopped BBQ sandwich! I will always love Bill Miller Bar-B-Q and all the memories of awesomeness with their plates, pies, all of it!“

“This place is a great place to escape. It’s relaxing, the staff is friendly, the bbq always taste on point, the buckets of beer are reasonably priced. If you can catch them on a Friday or Saturday your in for a treat of some live local music. Great place for families or friends to gather for lunch and a drink. Love that it’s located right on the La Quinta ship channel, you get to see some huge ships go by and it’s beautiful. Now let’s get to that sunset, breath taking. Now better place in town to sit and watch the sunset.Parking: Easy pull right up and parkKid-friendliness: They do host a movie night sometimes during the summer, very family oriented place.“

“WOW!! Anyone hungry for good food should stop by Garret’s BBQ. Brisket was so tender, so juicy, so full of flavor, NOT so peppery flavored like some places and just delicious! The bbq sauce only enhanced the great flavor we were already enjoying but you really don’t even need the sauce to enjoy this bbq. My husband suggested we try this new place on Holly Road and I’m so glad we did. We’ll definitely be back to try the ribs ?“
“I found this place on Google when searching for a "Texas Twinkie". (They call it a tornado or something like that). I was visiting from out-of-town and wanted some authentic BBQ food. This place was amazing. I would have liked to try more items but they were sold out.“
“We had our class reunion at Hogemeyer’s BBQ and it was perfect! The atmosphere was fun and casual. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. David was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had lots of space for our group of 70. I would highly recommend Hogemeyers for a group event. Our event went very smoothly and was so easy.“

“Wife had brisket sandwich. I, being me, I ordered it all. Well, almost (3 meat plate); brisket, spicy sausage and ribs. . Plus, all the fixings. Yep, I was stuffed, but a happy puppy! I drove us home and went into that familiar coma. Highly recommend BBQM! Now, U go do U!?“

“My mom and I loved loved the coleslaw and with apple just wow! We have never tried it like that and it was a lovely touch. Pork ribs were big and tender, brisket absolutely delicious and tender. I'm not too crazy about the potato salad it tasted too much of mustard and finally the peach cobbler just lovely. We will definitely order again.“

“Absolutely delicious! The best meal I've eaten in a while. I don't have my mom in my life anymore and it was so beautiful to have a comfort meal made for me. It's so hard to find delicious comfort food. Got mine to go and couldn’t get to it until much later. The Thursday special reheated beautifully and I still have half the meal waiting for me and I cannot wait to finish it.“
“Our waitress was Sarah, she was amazing! She was on top of everything! The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. When I needed a box for my meal and rolls Sarah offered to bring me extra rolls to take home with me. One critique...the brownie dessert should be heated before serving...it was good and all but being warm would have made it delectable! ?“
“We had a catering for a baby shower, and we ordered 2 trays of brisket, a tray of chicken and sausage with bean and rice. They also provide barbecue sauce, pickles, and onions with sweet corn bread. The food and the delivery were excellent and on time. You could smell the smoke flavor when they took the meat out of the carriers. The meat was tender and tasty, and we had leftovers. The best barbecue and reasonably priced. Sorry, I forgot the pictures.“
“After being treated like crap at Black Diamond Oyster, we decided to come to a favorite place in Corpus. Shame on us for even attempting something else! We both got the fried oysters and they were absolutely fantastic. The hushpuppies were spot on, and the waitress even brought us some extras and did not charge us. The beer is ice cold, and the service is fantastic!Although a little dated and cheesy regarding the decor, we still absolutely love it! It gives the place character.“
