I am one to always speak the truth despite the feelings of others, especially when it comes to a business! Roma's is a small hole in the wall restaurant in Pottsboro, TX. It is family ran and has been for 18 years!When you decide to visit, understand this, your food will not come out right away like in a nasty restaurant like olive garden! It will come out in a few minutes or more, but please remain in your seats and do not leave! The food you will be served is freshly made, it will come out hot and homemade! No, seriously, the pasta noodles and bread are all made by the family! It is open seating, but remember it is a smaller restaurant, so if your party is huge, a little advanced notice might be appreciated!Now, back to the food!?? (what I ate personally)Spaghetti and meat balls: This particular dish is something I stay weary of as a lot of spaghetti pasta sauce has mushrooms, but thankfully, at Roma's it is just a tomato sauce and it is AMAZING! I can't even explain the noodles, but I can tell you they were a 1000 times better than box noodles! Those meatballs ? bro! Just...??bro... not only were they larger than expected, but they were like a light punch of flavor that paired perfectly with the tomato sauce! All in all, for the spaghetti, I'd give it a solid 8.5 out of 10. The tomato sauce itself could have used more flavor, but I will most definitely be getting more spaghetti!!!Stuffed Shells: This particular meal should be illegal! It takes you on a journey, dude! Like in Ratatouille when he starts seeing every single ingredient, yea like that! It is just as good with every bite, and so far, my favorite pasta dish from any restaurant EVER! A solid 10 out of 10!Tiramisu: I am not a fan of tiramisu, as it is normally overly baring with sweetness. You can't appreciate the flavor of something when it is just way too sweet. However, I don't know what they're doing up there at Roma's, but that tiramisu was amazing! Was it sweet, sure, but a gentle sweet. I could actually focus on the other flavors in the tiramisu and enjoy all of them! Solid 9 out of 10 on that!Nutella Cheesecake: I used to love chocolate and still find myself wanting more than one should! Nutella just happens to be my favorite chocolate, so of course I had to try it & of course it was fantastic. This one, even though delicious, just wasn't it for me! It was just about perfect, but something wasn't there for me, and so I'm going to give this a 7 out of 10.(Things my husband ordered & I stole a bite)Shrimp Scampi: it was really good! I'm not much of a seafood in my pasta kinda person, but this was very good! 8 out of 10!Pizza: yall, did I mention IT IS FRESH MADE BREAD that includes the pizza dough! “We had a great time. I would actually give 4.5 stars. The staff was very attentive and assisted us with how to throw the axe. They provided excellent coaching. The charcuterie board was good and the drink selection was good. Suggest adding maybe a karaoke machine and option for music selection.We will be back.“

“It's straightforward Italian food (not a fancy place) with excellence. I got the Calzone; honestly the best I've ever had. In my calzone experiences usually you drown on dough, but this one came thin-skinned with a hot and creamy sausage and cheese mix inside. Magnifico!On previous visits I've had Manicotti or Pizza, all superbly prepared. The owner is a down-to-earth hard working man and the help is capable and friendly. And no, I'm not a relative...just a fan. LOL“
“I have been here multiple times. As far as pizzas go, unless you get a specialty pizza, there are many places you can get a large pizza for half the price of one here. If you are more of a pain pizza with only one topping, I would suggest any other pizza place and order the carryout deal. However if you like specialty pizza, you would probably love this place.“
“This is now an Italian restaurant. We had the seafood combo, fried calamari, greek salad, a spinach calzone, and Italian Wedding cake & tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious. I only gave them 4 stars because it’s a new restaurant and they need to work out a few kinks in their process. You’ll need to be patient and not in a rush when dining here.“
“I've obit been here twice. Once a really long time ago, and once the other day. I didn't eat anything, but was surprised about a few things. One was that it was a lot cleaner and nicer than when I was there last. And two the drink size was half the size for twice the cost. The size of a cup is a kids meal size anywhere else. Don't tell me you get free refills because you get that everywhere else too. I'm utterly disgusted about the size/cost of a drink. It was almost $3 for a kids meal size drink.“
“Local family owned and operated! This is some of the best food made by the nicest couple in the area. Why 5 stars? Because this is good food at a reasonable price. Quality is top notch, no you won't be served on China plates by a tuxedo wearing guy with a bad French accent but you will be served by one of the owners and that service will be friendly and nice. The pizza crust is perfect and the toppings well balanced. The lasagna is well made and has all the good stuff, careful because it is served hot out of the oven. Speaking of ovens! They do not use a belt fed oven but rather have 2 Bakers Pride old school style ovens, perfect for making excellent baked goods. Every baked pasta dish comes with bread, fresh hot tasty bread. If nothing else get the bread! Come, get a pizza or pasta, if you gotta have China plates get it to go and put it on your own plates at home. The price is right, the food comes out hot and fresh.“

“We travel a lot, and this is THE BEST pizza we've ever found! The crust is perfect, sauce tasty and they are not stingy with the cheese. We've never gotten just a slice though-always order our own and take the rest home. There isn't much ambiance to the place, but the pizza is wonderful and staff is kind. We'll miss this place!“

“I really like the salad bar, the pizza is good but needs to be hot not just warm, the dessert pizza is good. The warming tables are not set up in a good way so that you have difficulty reaching many of the salad bar items and the pizza also. I was told that is going to be corrected. The place is clean and bright and they have people who bring your drinks and keep them filled. The price is good and they have a senior price, kids price is also good. They will make you whatever type pizza you request then put extra on the warming tables. I gave the food a 4 only because they need better warming lights.“
