Golfito Seafood Reviews
awesome cooks and great food
We’ve been all over Texas this summer and this is by far, THE BEST FOOD we’ve had!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Golfito!!! This would def be a 5 star restaurant in a bigger city! I’m so jealous I can’t eat there again! You must try it and eat off the Facebook menu!!! The chef, who we had the pleasure of meeting and taking a picture with, has a talent! He’s definitely going places! So enjoy this Raymondville…I see big things in this young chefs future!

Golfito Seafood is a charming restaurant in a small town, known for its good food and service. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including bacon-wrapped shrimps, chicken milanesa, flautas, and carne guisada. While the food is delicious, some recent experiences have highlighted issues with service and order accuracy. Customers have noted long wait times, with food sometimes taking close to 45 minutes to arrive. Instances of receiving incorrect dishes, such as vegetable soup instead of fish soup, have also been reported. Despite these challenges, the attentive service and friendly staff have been mentioned, though they may require more training.
The fried tilapia chicharones and tacos gobernador received positive remarks, but some customers felt the wait was not worth it. Others expressed disappointment over missing ingredients like cheese and stale beans. While the atmosphere can be affected by noise from nearby tables, the lemonade with strawberries was praised. Overall, Golfito Seafood still offers a worthwhile dining experience, but improvements in service and order fulfillment are necessary for a better visit.
