“I always love Salad n Go bc of the prices and the quality of their food. The portion sizes are great and it’s healthy! Today I got a wrap and the new soup. I drove home and relaxed maybe 10 minutes before eating– soup was still hot! The employees here are kind and good listeners. The line was so fast! Always so delicious too.“

“My partner comes here for lunch a lot so today I ordered takeout for both of us. You order your food at a kiosk and sit and wait. We both had the sesame chicken and man, it was so good! The fried dumplings and egg rolls were also delicious!

The owner is very friendly and an amazing cook who seems to really love what he does. It's one of those places where one person does everything and it has a cozy vibe, made me feel like I was eating at a little joint in Korea. I will definitely be back and plan to try the bulgogi next time!

“I’ve been coming to The Great Outdoors Sub Shop in Richardson for over 40 years, ever since my college days, and I was so glad to see that the tradition of excellence is still alive and well. The food remains just as impeccable as I remember, and the staff continues to deliver the kind of customer service that made me fall in love with this place decades ago.

On my most recent visit, I was greeted by Auvianna W., who was warm, welcoming, and ready to serve. She reminded me of a manager they had years ago, Rick, who always made sure long nights of studying or quick breaks between classes were made better with great service and my favorite sandwich (always with extra mayo, light thousand, and a strip of mustard!).

I also want to recognize Tina and Liam, who were attentive and enthusiastic as they shared the new menu items with me. Their excitement was contagious and made the visit even more enjoyable.

It’s rare to see a restaurant carry on such a strong legacy for decades, but The Great Outdoors in Richardson truly has. For me, it’s more than just a sub shop — it’s a place filled with memories, tradition, and consistently great food.“

“Karahi takes about 40 mins from the time you order and if you have multiple like we had one time 5 Karahi orders on a busy Saturday night so our order took over an hour but they try their best and are friendly and accommodating people. Great food and vibe outdoors and general area.“
