“Arrived on a Saturday night at 6:30. Plenty of parking , no line , no wait and plenty of seating. Plenty of fresh pizza with new product continuaslly arriving. The pizza tasted just like I remembered from 50 years back. And that crispy crust ? No other pizza chain has it. The salad was fresh but the ice tea was really special. Tasted brewed with no off putting flavor. The poor waitress was alone and worked like a champ. All in all a good experience. $11.00 and change before tip. Worth every penny !“

“Sophisticated menu and expertly prepared dishes. We started with the Burrata which was served along with premium figs and prosciutto. My hearts of palm salad was fresh and bean presented. We placed an online order for a pepperoni pizza, buffalo chicken pizza, and a chicken parmesan entree. “I decided to treat my friend to lunch. I gave her two other choices such as, Subway or Jack in the box. She chose Big Joe's! I am so glad she did! The prices were good, food was delicious and the ambiance was peaceful! As, I walked it, it was like a breathe of fresh air. The inside was clean and looked a lot better than the outside! Lol. The Red and White Checkered Table Cloths were sending Italian vibes and the artificial Flowers in the center of the Restaurant were the perfect touch to create a fresh new look because, Big Joe's used to be a Whataburger back in the day. I wasn't sure what to order and the family ahead me didn't either. However, the Young Blonde Order taker with glowing Blue eyes was patient w everybody. He resembled, the actor, Tanner Buchanan who played the Character Robby in the Netflix series Cobra Kai. Ok, so back to the review. Lol. I opted for the Lasagna for $8.99. My friend got the Baked Ziti for $8.99 which included a side of Bread. My friend said, it was a little to crispy but, she said, it's ok. I agreed w her. My Lasagna was Meaty and Cheesey! Lol. It was piping hot too. The Tomato Meat Sauce was tasty with a few small meatballs.The Lasagna Sheets were baked just right, nice and soft. It was topped w a lot of yummy goey Cheeses. A Bus Boy dressed in White dropped our Silverware and Parmesan Cheese off at our table. Even though it was not busy in the Restaurant, he was a great addition to Big Joe's. Some how his presence made me feel special. I guess, it was the nostalgia of his uniform? Well, I think, I covered everything. Lol. If your ever in Haltom City. Check out Big Joe's and grab some Italian food. I'm sure you will like it!“

“They have this mastered! Customer service and excellent in taste and presentation of food! The portions are large and the prices are fair. Plus you get to bring your own wine! I am vegan so they made me whole wheat rigatoni. The pasta texture was perfect and the flavor of the San Marzano tomato sauce was out of this world! My husband had chicken Valdostano Our son had seafood over pasta. We all were very pleased also their salads are humongous so be prepared for that as well as they are delicious and creative! We don’t live here but I can’t wait to come back to southlake again for a business to visit This very special restaurant again!“

“Loved the dinner we had here. Relaxed, family atmosphere. All the staff was very attentive, they all checked on us multiple times. Food was really good. I got the shrimp risotto which was one of the specials that night and it had a little spice which was unexpected but really good. My husband got the lasagna and wings for the appetizer. The menu was pretty large and had a lot of items I hadn't seen before. Definitely recommend!“

“We love Big Joe’s! This place is a hidden gem in Haslet, TX. The food is AMAZING. From pizza, to pastas, to salads…You can’t go wrong with anything that you order. The ingredients are fresh, and the food is flavorful. My new personal favorite is the lasagna pizza.We’ve done a mix of dining in and take-out. When dining in, the atmosphere is super laid back. I like that they have quarter machine games available for the kids. It’s keeps them busy while they wait. Theres a lot of flat screen TVs through out the restaurant to watch the games on. When it comes to take-out the drive through window is the best. Not having to get out of my car to pick- up my food is incredibly convenient. Keep up the great work!“

“I will start by saying that this place is a favorite of mine and my coworker. She and I always make it a point to dine here when we are in town on business. The parking lot is never full and the place isn't much to look at from the outside. No worries though...press on and you won't be disappointed. We usually make reservations but this last time we didn't and had no issues being seated immediately. It should be noted that we almost always go there on a Monday or Tuesday evening, so I can't speak for the business volume on a weekend. The host is always gracious and will stop with you at an iced down "special station" where the featured menu items are plated and displayed. He or she talks through them for you with a detailed description before taking you to your table. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful with a kind of upscale old Italy kind of feel, with white table cloths and the whole 9 yards. The lighting is dim, so if you're like me and can't see a lick, make sure you have your phone flashlight handy for reading that menu!! The service is always very good here in my experience. Servers are knowledgeable and able to answer any questions. We did not order an appetizer, but a word to the wise is that each table receives a complimentary order of the focaccia bread with marinara sauce - you just have to ask for it. It's delicious, so of course we ordered that! I have an unusual food allergy - my chief complaint at this restaurant is that I like to order the sea bass and it comes topped with lump crab meat (that's how it is described on the menu). I am allergic to lobster but i CAN have crab. When I read the menu, I would make the assumption that I would be safe to have that dish. Of course I always make the server aware of my allergy regardless of what I order, and when I did that, he informed me that the lump crab meat on the sea bass is mixed with lobster meat as well. The manager was gracious and substituted a side of shrimp instead, but a bit more truth in menu would be much appreciated. My coworker ordered the gnocchi and a side of brussels. I have had the gnocchi here before as well...I highly recommend(!!) and she also said the brussels were amazing. The sea bass is always good - nicely cooked with good flavor, and not dry. Helpful hint: the menu doesn't say this, but the sea bass also comes with a side of cauliflower puree. It's good, but I think for the type of restaurant it is and the price point, they could do a better job plating the dish. You eat with your eyes. :-) We didn't get dessert on this trip because our flight had gotten delayed and it was late, but we have before. I recommend getting the chocolate mousse tart (may not be calling that by the right name)...it is super rich but so good. They also do a nice bananas foster tableside that's cool to watch. Bottom line....This is a very nice restaurant with good food and good service. Great place for a nice dinner out. You should go.“

“Pizza 5 stars, Lasagna 10 stars, most everything 5 stars...BUT the Greek Salad, just sad. Ugh!Greek salad with a butload of green and black olives? Gotta go KALMATA. Balsamic/Vinegarette dressing? or even worse, ITALAINAN dressing or TSAZIKI? Needs Kalmata olives and a CREAMY GREEK dressing and NOT TSAZIKI sauce or a creamy "italian".. that is for Gyros! Offer an option for Calamari with it and I see heaven. The stuffed mushrooms with a sauce that begged to be scooped up with the accompanying bread was as deeply flavorful as any from my mama's Italian kitchen. Finally, thanks so much to Darlene our server who is warm, welcoming, and a pro's pro. She readily guided us through the menu as we were all first time guests. After a drink was spilled, she was on the spot taking charge & saving us from attempting to clean the table. Surrounded as we are with inexperienced, novice servers, Darlene is that quiet, supremely competent pro who makes dining at your restaurant a genuine pleasure.“

“So, I'm up in the area sometimes for business and I saw this being built. Opened recently so went to check out the pasta. You can order one of four types on the menu board, or build your own. I'm lazy, I went for the Pasta Diavolo, (spicy sauce) you have a choice of penne or spaghetti, I went with spaghetti. Tomato's, green onion, and parmesan cheese. You can add on a meat to it, but I just got the pasta alone. I added a parmesan piada stick cause it looked good and I love bread. Little concerned when I noticed both pastas just sitting in an open holding urn type thing on the prep line. Worried it might be a little dried out. But when they put it together, it was pasta first, then covered with sauce, then added other items. They didn't toss it, just covered and served. Got mine to go, and when I opened it I noticed that the sauce probably, (or maybe?) had helped to remoisten and warm it some. Anyway, it was tender and warm when I tried it. ...and it was good stuff. I kinda like the simple amount of ingredients. Not overdone with tons of things clashing with each other. The parmesan stick was a long narrow hunk of bread with melted cheese inside. Not much cheese in each end, but plenty in the middle. It was good, but at $3.49 I don't think it was that great a value. Probably gonna try the lobster bisque next time. Anyway, two sizes pasta, small and regular, I got the regular for $10.99 and I think it was a pretty good deal. With the bread stick it came out about $15 or so total. Seemed pretty reasonable to me. I can say that I will probably be going back occasionally when I'm in the area.“

We went around lunch time on a Wednesday and the restaurant had a fair amount of people inside but we were able to be seated and served right away. Once we ordered it took maybe 10 mins to receive our food. Waitress was refilling drinks and on top of getting us in and out. We ordered a slice of pizza and meatballs for the kiddos and for us we each got a pasta dish with chicken. All of it tasted so deliciousand fresh. “Highly recommend a visit to Fort Brewery. It’s a very cool space. The outdoor area has motorized overhead screens so depending on the weather you can really enjoy the day or be safe from the elements. The stage is a good size too. Music wasn’t too overpowering so that’s good. The beers were good. Red Ale was my favorite. Also had some solid NA options too. Pizza was killer. Especially the Heim Pizza.“

The interior is cozy and visually nice but a large detriment to it is the proximity of everyone being relatively close combined with the size of the room resulting in loud background noise that doesn't lend well to a quiet experience as you need to raise your voice to hear someone speaking across the table. Overall a good place.Wheelchair accessibility: A nice ramp exists for wheelchairs to easily reach the front door. Place is all on one floor.“

“Walking in reminded us of our old time Italian Steakhouse. Great ambiance. When you walk in you are immediately taken to a display of the house specialties and each is described in detail. Next to that is a small Antipasto “Bar” that you can order from and it will be dished up by your server. We were lucky enough to have Arturo as our waiter and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and had amazing recommendations. My husband had the dover sole and I had the Filet Dianana. Both were finished and served table side and both were amazing. We were ready to order when we sat down, and our food started coming out promptly. Waitress was friendly and helpful, while still remaining busy and diligent to her tables. Everything was great. The pizza, the salads and the kids menu items our child really enjoyed and ate everything. Was nice they did not char the kids pizza as kids tend to freak out about that. The Chicken Parm Sandwich was excellent too. Tiramisu was amazing, light and fresh. They were very accommodating to the extra numbers we hadn't accounted for. We sat on the patio and was the only party out there, which was perfect since we had small children that could play around without bothering other guest. Our server was transparent about them being short staffed, however we never felt a gap in service at all. The food was delicious! I had fried green tomatoes and salmon pisatta, both were great!
