“While I was door dashing, I asked Luis (an employee there) how their red velvet cake was. He offered me a free slice just to get me to come back and try their other delicious food! He was very polite and funny. The cake was amazing! The restaurant itself has a fun but relaxed atmosphere! Definitely gonna come back and try more!“
“Our favorite restaurant in all of Texas. Exceptional service. Delicious food and unique menu options. Manager came to our table to invite us to be on the VIP list and shared upcoming special events. Waiter was spot on with timing and recommendations. Texas bruschetta is always a favorite appetizer. She-Crab soup was so good we asked for the recipe which the sous chef willing provided and broke down portion for us. Will return again and again.“
“I’ve been here a few times and I’m never disappointed. They have nice flavors and good chicken. The service may take longer than others but it is definitely worth it. Additionally they have a drive thru making them more convenient than other chicken places.“
“When in town celebrating our anniversary, we were excited to find info about Taste Project. We loved the 'pay-what-you-can" model and trusted Google reviews. Even if it was just a basic breakfast, sharing breakfast/ brunch here would not be a waste of our time. What we didn't expect is that our brunch at Taste would be the best food we had through a weekend packed with fine dining. Those were good. Taste is GREAT! I spent the next day wondering what is coming out on the new Spring menu and planning our quick return. We had the Breakfast Biscuit and Miso Cod. The biscuit included perhaps the best bacon I've ever tasted - layered in the biscuit with fluffy eggs, cheese and cranberry-pomogranite jam for the incredible balance of savory and sweet. Do not sleep on the breakfast potatoes! They are so crispy and well seasoned. The Miso Cod came with recommendations and did not disappoint. It was sweet, fresh, beautifully presented and turned one in our group from "I don't like fish" to "'That is the best fish I've ever had and may need to add as a disclaimer that 'I don't typically like fish, unless it's from the Taste project!'"Thank you for the wonderful meal and challenging us as we go out to help others"taste and see the Lord is good" (Psalm 34:8).“
“This place is awesome! They've got god knows how many board/card games (literal bookcases filled with them, just like my blood father used to have) and the food was pretty good. I had the grilled chicken sandwich (no sauce, can't handle spicy stuff) with sweet potatoe fries (sweet potatoe fries!) And sweet tea. So that stuff was great at least. The tables are nice and sealed, staff was friendly, general atmosphere/patrons were great, nothing particularly critical to comment on from my end.Date wasn't a fan of her cosmo, but I don't drink so I can't comment on that.Speaking of which, great spot for a date (first or otherwise) as well as a good family spot, just make sure your kids aren't the rowdy type (but isn't that something to keep in mind for everywhere?)They were also cool with you bringing in your own games (we played magic: the gathering personally)Bring your partner, bring your friends, bring your family. Bring your games! It's a great all around spot, and they've even got outside tables if your the sort for that (I don't recommend it if you're playing a game, pieces/cards can get blown away too easily.)Kid-friendliness: Idk about you guys, but I've been playing board and card games since I was a kid, and I would've loved going to this place back then.“
“Love all the healthy side options. We need more vegetables and fruit options in our diet. This place has a nice selection of healthy sides. There are too many carbs that have been genetically modified by man. It is making us sick. Eat healthier.“
“Great seafood. Excellent service. Drink recommendations based on our preferences we're on point. Good oysters. Tartare was great. Crab cake was all crab and so Delicious. Capellini Nero is squid ink pasta with lobster; it was so good and there was so much food we were stuffed. Diver scallops on potato cakes were the best I've ever had!“
“I have wanted to eat at this restaurant since learning of it from an Anthony Bourdain show (think it was “No reservations”- but can’t find the episode). It was low key- and my visit was more about sharing an experience with family and homage to an admirable fellow human. The three stars are not a negative reflection of this experience for atmosphere- but a homage to Bourdain - on how he might paint a picture of a low key establishment featuring a dark and western themed corner of the west- sprinkled with a savory dust. The rabbit /rattlesnake sliders - are a “must taste” experience. My oldest son had the elk sliders (appetizers), and finally learned that chewing thoroughly (instead of wolfing) was much more enjoyable (despite taking three orders to fill him).My steak was perfect. No steak has ever been better than my own, but the prime rib being seared was definitely my preference on how the dish was served - and the seasoning used- was unique in that it brought forth and accommodated the essence of the beef.Whether a fan of Bourdain or not- everyone should have a LD experience - and accommodates any other activities might explore at the stockyards.“
“Food was great. We got the BBQ jumbo wings, and the Buffalo chicken burger. My daughter had Mac and cheese with fries. Maria was an excellent server. She is amazing with kiddos and makes sure you get exactly what you want to eat. She has tons of recommendations and doesn’t leave you hanging. Will definitely be back.“
“I got a chance to eat here at lunch today and the food is incredible! Everything looked wonderful, and I hated having to just choose one meal. I had the roasted vegetable lasagna, which was fantastic. It’s a shame. This is not closer as I would be there very frequently, but I cannot wait to go back and try some of their other foods.Vegetarian options: Seem to have several vegetarian options on their menu, and at the counter that are not listed, and they are fantastic!“
“I rarely give 5 stars for all three categories, but I really feel I must for Towne Grill. The food was fantastic and I think the meatloaf there is the BEST I have ever had...grilled on the outside and soft on the inside with a lovely muchroom gravy. The steak salad is also very good...amazing actually. FInally, the kids mac and cheese, fried, and the deviled eggs were all delicious too. The place is very comfortable, clean and well laid out. Glad we had our anniversary dinner there!Kid-friendliness: Great kids food!“
“Kailey T. was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal! She took such care of our food allergies, making sure to note them on the order and reviewing our food with us personally. She accommodated the many requests of our family of five with grace and ease. She was absolutely amazing to have as a server! We will definitely be back again!“
“Slow service... Kind of takes forever for everything. It was our first time here and the entrance is confusing. Also the valet doesn't tell you to validate your parking and neither did our waiter. There was only 3 other tables aside from ours but everything was slow. They bring out Champagne complimentary but we don't drink. Still nice though. I don't think we'll be back, our favorite and usual is capital grille but we were trying to give somewhere else a shot. They also need a dessert menu it's terrible they have to recite even dessert and my the second one you've already forgot what they had. Some of us are visual. Definitely not good business in they sense“
“We went to The Post at River East to see Davy Knowles. The venue was intimate for an impressive acoustic set. (We've seen Knowles the last three times he's been in DFW, and the acoustic show was our favorite.) Service was especially good -- warm, welcoming, and attentive. The food good; we only had a Pinot to drink, but it was more than respectable. A great evening! Thank you!!“
“Little pub food for us to have at a place new to us…. and so close by. She had the Philly Cheesesteak with truffle fries and I had the Fish and Chips. Nice place, great food and super friendly staff. Don't let the price I listed per person throw you off - wife and I had a couple of rounds along with the good food.“
“My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here last night, and I couldn't have been more pleased all around. We shared Beef Carpaccio for an appetizer. She ordered the Kiwi to My Heart tequila cocktail, and I ordered the Cherry on Top rye whiskey cocktail. She chose the Bacon Wrapped Quail, and I chose the 12 oz filet mignon. The drinks were unique and delicious, and the meals were cooked and seasoned to perfection. Summer was our server, and her attitude and energy were both amazing. I recommend reserving a table around sunset because the view you can get from the 12th floor patio is a serious Ft Worth secret gem. The restaurant is located in the Frost Bank high rise on 6th street. To get to Branch and Bird, use the Frost Bank main entrance. Head to the elevators and find the touch screen to select "Branch and Bird." The restaurant entrance is straight off of the elevator from there. 10/10 would recommend.“
“Listen I do not write a ton of reviews but this one !! Well off the charts. The enchilada stack was the bomb and Grilled pimento was off the charts. Oh and the people well down to earth very helpful and extremely friendly. We have penciled this in as one of our regular Sunday brunch stops.Keep rocking home town everyone. !!!!“
“Just celebrated my wedding day here. Megan was amazing at answering my questions and helping me put together a fun reception space for my wedding. Got many compliments on the place.Thank you Megan and pinstripes workers making it wonderful!!!“
“Great place that has a comfortable environment and have a great time with friends and listen to live music. Hombres with Annmarie singing live and we're a true, heart-felt reminder of what Tejano music is supposed to be. Their love for the music was evident and made Hugo's the place to go for this type of music.“
“I ordered 175 of their box lunches and 2 sandwich trays with a large bowl of fresh fruit. Their boxes were packed beautifully, and the fruit was so fresh. Along with each cup of fruit they give their amazing poppy seed dressing. I do not like pasta salad, but I ate every bite of mine. Three days later and the fruit is still so fresh! I ordered some gluten free sandwiches, which were also wonderful. Their tuna fish cannot be beat! Best I have ever had! I have been going to The Lunch Box for years but have never had take out before. They arrived ahead of schedule and are so friendly. I told her I would be ordering 350 in December, and she said, no problem!Dietary restrictions: Has gluten free bread“
“I go here on a regular basis. Mon-Thur they have breakfast specials and Fri-Sun they offer all you can Buffet. That also comes with add ons. For instance, they may have 5 different style of eggs on buffet, you decided to have an omelet instead. Tell your waitress and there's no extra charges. It's overall great experience. Clean establishment and friendly staff.“
“I’m visiting from London Ontario Canada area. This place is great. I had the bone-in pork chop and it was perfect. I don’t eat vegetables but I’m sure they were great too.I grace to talk aboot the service though eh?Our server Autumn was amazing. She was thorough, friendly, she presented the food very well and when she brought out our desserts she laid on the “southern belle” accent very thick for us Canadians.Overall an amazing experience, fantastic food and the service is next level.“
“We visited here for a Burlesque show Dolls and Diamonds in back room. Show was amazing!! This was our 1st time to the Funky Picnic and it was amazing as well! Service was wonderful, food so delicious, and the drinks were so good!!! I love the shimmer with lavender, my new favorite drink!! We will be back to visit for sure!!“
“We dined here for the first time before a concert at Dickie's arena and thought it was one of the very best meals we have ever had. The hospitality was on point from the moment we arrived. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. Because we knew we were going to indulge in dessert, we didn't order starters, but fully enjoyed the complimentary basket of fresh-baked muffins and bread. I decided on the carne asada with enchiladas for dinner and my husband couldn't resist ordering the chicken fried steak. Bring your appetite, because the portion sizes are huge! The food is absolutely delicious! Ordering from the dessert tray wasn't easy because everything looked amazing and our server's descriptions made our mouth's water. I ordered the West Texas pecan pie and my husband had the banana pudding. Both were out of this world! Definitely save room for dessert. You won't be disappointed!“
“**Must order the ELK SAUSAGE PASTA!!**First time I tried it I was HOOKED! Come at least once a month now. I always tell my partner it tastes like an Italian take on Pad Thai but with Italian spices and TONS OF FLAVOR!Every time I’ve been there they either have someone playing the piano or 2 guys on guitars playing modern/classical/classic music, PERFECT PLACE FOR DATES!Chef always comes by to make sure everything is to your liking and thanks you as you walk out, such a beautiful touch. We made it a night and went to the local cocktail lounges within walking distance and it was perfection.“
“The food is so good and flavorful. The rice is moist and not dried out—very fresh! Food is served quickly. Only negative is that they give you only an hour and then they want you gone so they can seat the next group which makes me feel rushed.“
“We come to City Works often and we love it. The drink/food quality or your service experience can definitely depend on who is working/bartending, but we have never been disappointed with our experience (with the exception of a few iffy drinks here and there). It’s always very easy to get a reservation and they have a large beer selection. It’s a great spot to stop while you’re out and about in Clearfork, or if you want dinner prior to seeing a movie at the AMC nearby. It seems like prices have increased a little bit since we started coming here a few years ago, but that’s the case pretty much everywhere. We look forward to coming here for a laid back date night. They have a great rewards program that gets you frequent discounts. Order the rigatoni - it’s amazing!“
“Trendy place for Fort Worth foodies -duck, chicken, fish and steak entrees all cooked to perfection. Speciality cocktails and extensive wine list will please each member of the party. Always say yes to the soup of the day. This is a very fine restaurant in the heart of a gentrifying industrial district just west of downtown on White Settlement road.“
“What a great place to have some drinks and play some darts. I have been coming up here for dart league and to watch Rangers games. The staff is friendly and the drinks are ice cold. The dart set up is the best in Fort Worth from what I can tell.“
“This place is alright by me ?? we stopped in to try some drinks and apps and they didn’t disappoint Raj and Shay at the bar very hospitable and nice quick to help with anything needed. Let’s not leave CD out Chef kiss when it came to the apps fresh and made-to order. This place was very accommodating to us I appreciate your kindness, keep up the great work and I will see you soon?“
“Great food, service, great local town cafe. Very busy on the weekends but we are able to get in and out very quickly. Ordered The Scrambler, it was delicious anecdotes plenty of food for a great price. Definitely would recommend for people to go and have some great homemade breakfast.“
