“I came into San Angelo to have brunch before completing other tasks. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed. I ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon and eggs. Abby (I believe that's her name) was very friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my time until her male colleague began rushing me to leave (had not finished my meal). If I return I'll definitely be sure to ask for only Abby so I can enjoy a tasty and chill meal.“

“Such a nice and relaxing place to enjoy a night out with loved ones or friends. However, when they have live bands, it does get pretty loud making it hard to have a conversation. And I really wish they would bring back all the arcade games. I really miss that extra piece of entertainment they once offered. On a good note, they do offer a wide range of adult beverages so you're bound to find something to wet your whistle.“

“It's like a dive bar with an identity crisis. It's just a dank cigarette smell away from being a dive, but actually a cool place to hang out with decent bar food. They have r pool tables, TVs and activities theough the week like bingo and trivia.“

Roots at the Silo American • $$$
2505 Martin Luther King Dr, San Angelo

“My Wife and I went out last night with some Friends for Dinner at "Roots at the Silo", which is a Very Unique styled Restaurant that is located inside an old Silo. They are only open Thursday through Saturday and reservations are requested. This is our first time there and it is surrounded by "The Chicken Farm Art Center" - and they have scheduled Entertainment on Week-ends for Special Events, etc. Reservations were for 6:30 pm and we arrived on time and found the entrance on the first try. The entire area is set-up very cool with a Large Crayon Type Style Fence in the front with parking in back - with another Very Cool designed fence - and lots of unique buildings around. We were set up in a room just the right size for the eight of us, creating a Very Relaxed setting. Our Servers daughter served all of us our waters as we ordered our drinks from Kevin, our Server. Besides Roots at the Silo being in a unique setting, they don't rush you into anything and you can take your time enjoying your drinks, looking over the menu and chatting with the people you are with. And let me tell you, I heard some Very Interesting stories - and I took notes (just kidding - what happens at the Silo, stays at the Silo - lol) Roots at the Silo is kind of a French Restaurant, Bonjour la France, and the others stated that they don't speak French and don't know how to say the names of what they want. My Wife stated that I, her Husband, "took French in High School"... and they all looked at me and said; "Good, someone knows French." Then I replied that I did take French in High School but I thought it was a 'Kissing Class' - - - but I did pretty well. (i always try to help when i can). Anyway, when it came time to order we all kind of stated what we wanted but mainly pointed to what was on the menu - Kevin understood and orders were placed. My Wife and I are having the "Salade D'Epinards"; (which means Spinach Salad - i looked it up - and it says so right in the description) Spinach Salad with Bacon, Poached Egg, Croutons & Red Wine Vinaigrette. Most of the others also ordered this 'Salade'. For my Wife's Main Course, she ordered the; "Filet de Saumon Au Beurre-Blanc"; (which means what they listed) - Salmon Steak with Lemon Butter Sauce & Green Beans. I am having the "Troncons de Patauger A' la Duglere" (which means 'Sections of Wading at the Duglere / whatever the heck that means - see, i didn't keep it French there) This is why I just did 'okay' in French - except for the kissing part, which the class never got into. Anyway, they list it as; Filet of Flounder with a Tomato & White Eine Sauce - which makes more sense. Most of the others ordered what my Wife did, but three people had the "Filet Diane"; Tenderloin Steak with a Brandy & Mushroom Cream Sauce with 'Dauphinoise Frite - which means Potato Stuff (not going to go into it - but it's good). I am really glad I took French in High School - it has helped me so much ever since. Kevins daughter was very attentive in keeping our water glasses filled and seeing if we needed anything - at this point she earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award - then shied away from having her picture taken. But I did take it before we left - she was kind of hiding behind her Dad. In a short time our Salads (or Salade) were served -- they did look Delicious - and it was. Loved the Poached Egg in the middle of all the Spinach Leaves and Very Tasty Bacon throughout the Salade. When we all finished, Kevin and his Daughter cleared the tables to make room for our Entrees' - and filled our glasses with whatever we had. Then our Main Courses were served and both our plates are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness. My Wife's Salmon is Flaky and has a Very Delightful Taste. The Lemon Butter Sauce is Very Tasty and compliments the Salmon perfectly - absolutely Love that sauce (she gave me a bite). I also had some of her Green Beans“

“The food and service were great! It was our first time, and we decided to celebrate our 24th anniversary with something different. Low light and a little romantic. The dress was casual. Not loud at all. My husband had the ribeye, and i had the Hawaiian chicken with rice. Also, I tried out the fried cheese....so good! Our server was awesome. Will definitely go again.“

“I was in San Angelo for work and ended up at Warehouse 150 by accident. The bartenders and the customers were all awesome. Even though I was an outsider and everyone else seemed to know each other pretty well, I was treated like a regular and friend to everyone there. Amazing place with good people.“

“Coterie restaurant (or kitchen rather) inside City Limits Bar. This is not a separate entity from City Limits bar mind you. Its simply the kitchen entity within the bar that is named Coterie. The dishes that come out of here go way above what you would expect to be served at this place as a sports bar type place. Chef Ishma Parker is killing it with his dishes and southern-Cajun leaning cuisine. The cornmeal crusted catfish is meaty, tender, flaky fillet surrounded by a crusty and tasty cornmeal crust which I happen to love over any other fish breading out there. Nailed it on this one! The steak bits come in 8 and 12 ounce portions and I did 12. I only wish the steak bits could be blackened to make it better but also different than every other place in town does steak bits. They did hit a perfect medium well on my steak bits though. The French cut style green beans with diced bacon were a nice side dish to pair with their melty soft mashed garlic potatoes. My wife's chicken friend steak was big and bold with a delicious yellow gravy sauce served atop. The steak is a tender bottom round roast pounded very well as the steak was super tender inside the savory fried crust. The wings are decent here, pineapple-jalapeno was our pick. I prefer dry rub wings myself but hey. The watermelon salad is quite refreshing and pairs with any meal as a nice appetizer. Server Merissa is awesome as is server China, both professional and kind, accurate with orders and never leave you hanging. I only wish this place was in fact, separate and distinct from the sports bar to give it the vibe and caliber of dining experience the food and menu so deserve. I want to come back for a weekend brunch visit asap as that menu looks fantastic as well.“

“My brother's funeral was on the day we visited Blaine's, and since my brother loved to frequent Blane's for an occasional decompression, we decided we'd go there for a shot in his name. It was a weeknight, and I'm sure Blaine's wasn't expecting such a turnout. We piled in and began ordering shots and drinks. The bartender working there was working by herself. She was AMAZING. She not only filled our drink orders with speedy efficiency but also found time to come to our tables and make sure our drinks stayed filled, and empty glasses were cleared. She was friendly and accommodating and really made our trip to Blaine's a great experience! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to kick back, relax, and have a drink! Everything was great!“
