Not only do they taste fantastic, they look beautiful and create lasting memories. She has made my children’s birthday cakes, graduation cakes, engagement cookies, wedding cakes & desserts and now even bay shower cakes and desserts for my grandbaby. “One of my best friends has Celiac Disease and cannot eat out very many places in San Angelo because not only does she need gluten free, she needs eateries that are avoiding cross-contamination of all gluten cooking surfaces (which is so rare to find ).It’s SO AWESOME that she doesn’t have to worry a lick about “getting glutened” at this place because the owner also has Celiacs and knows how to take it seriously. So even though this place originally started more for allergy-specific meal-prepping services, my bestie and I can come to Chelsea’s new storefront for lunch or dinner dates any time!Chelsea and Jodie are just the sweetest staff. Chelsea said “I’m not a chef, but I love to cook,” which is so apparent. She was telling us all about her upcoming food experiments that we can’t wait to try- like her GF/DF cookies in cream pie ? can’t wait to try it!For lunch we had this incredible beef spaghetti made with homemade marinara & alfredo, like what got so popular on TikTok. The two sauces combined was so good!!! And I loved having a healthy vegetable side of green beans. We had pie slices for dessert and the GF/DF coconut cream pie was so so yummy! While we were there, someone placed an online order for a GF, DF, AND sugar free pizza which looked amazing!Chelsea said her Chinese dishes are really popular and I can’t wait to come back to try! I feel like I need to try everything; I love the idea of an ever-changing menu! This is a rare concept in general, but especially in San Angelo. This little place, tucked away by the quilting corner in the Hobby Lobby parking lot, is such a sweet, safe place, not only to enjoy a diverse spectrum of healthy dishes, but for those with food allergies to find an empathetic community! Whether you have food allergies or not, this place is more than worth a try!“

“For our Dinner Saturday Night my Lovely Wife and I decided to go out to eat because it's been a while - since Friday night. Now where do we go is the question - and that's just what she asked me. I'm the one to decide and I came up with a goodie. I said; "How about the Cork & Pig, we haven't been there for some time now." She totally agreed. I spent the day running errands and cleaning up the Vette-Jet, not for Saturday Night, but for Sunday Church. 'The Ranger' will be used for our West Texas transportation. We're all cleaned up and ready to go - and we did. The Cork & Pig is always busy, especially on a Saturday Night and when we arrived there were a good number of customers here but they do have plenty of tables available. Chose a booth and were shown to one. Our Server is Alec and took our drink order - Two Jack-N-Cokes while we looked over the menu. She stated she would also bring us some waters with lemon - nice touch. Alec returned with our waters and stated the drinks will be here shortly. That's okay, we understand. When Alec returned with our Jack-N-Cokes, my Wife wanted to tell her something - she said; "You are beautiful and if I was an modeling agent I would want you to be a model." Alec had a big smile on her face and thanked my Wife. We chatted for some time and found out that Alec is new to the Cork & Pig. At this point I knew she earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award because she has already gone 'above-and beyond the norm' - and I will inform her a little later. For now it is time to order. My Wife and I decided to go with their House Salads (description not listed - here is the best I can do: Lettuce, Sprouts, Cabbage, Tomatoes, Corn, Avocado, Croutons - Wife is going with the Balsamic Champagne and I'm having Ranch. We are going to share their "The PIG" Wood Fired Pizza; Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Pancetta, Mozzarella Cheese & Tomato Sauce. We have had this Pizza a few times before and it's really good and the Best Crust in San Angelo. Now it's time for those Jack-N-Cokes - and the Bartender here makes'em really good. We toasted to 'us' and enjoyed our Favorite Drink. Love You Baby - Cheers. Here comes our Dinner Salads and they do an Excellent Presentation of Deliciousness - they are Absolutely Beautiful. It's Fresh, Crisp with a lot of Tasty - and a lot of bites makes it one of the largest Dinner Salads we have had - and not on a small plate, but a Good Size Oval decorative plate. This Salad has an Awesome taste to it with a just-right very-slight sweetness. Just as we were finishing up our Salads, out came our Pig Pizza and it's Beautifully Glistening with Deliciousness. We both grabbed a slice we wanted and doctored it up with Fresh Romano Cheese and those Hot Grounded Pepper Flakes. My first bite told me I added waaaaaaay tooooooo much Pepper Flakes - that stuff is HOTTT. I shook some off and it tasted more like I wanted it to taste - Pigglyliciousness. This Pig Pizza is very popular here and with us. Lots of flavor anywhere you bite - and the Crust is the Best Pizza Crust around - nice-n-flaky with a slight Crispy Crunch. This Dinner Salad with the Pig Pizza is the Just-Right-Dinner for two - with some leftover Pizza to take home. When Alec returned I gave her the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award and told her what it was for. She loved it and thanked us. She is a delight to talk to and is very informed about what Cork & Pig offers - and she's new. A Big Plus for Cork & Pig - and a Big Plus for all the Customers she encounters. Hopefully we will have her again. This is one of the places that when in San Angelo, Texas, it is the place to stop in at and enjoy some Delicious Food, Tops in Service and some mighty fine drinks. The are on Facebook - Cork & Pig Tavern --- and On-Line. My Lovely Wife and I enjoyed another Beautiful Early San Angelo Texas evening on the way home in 'The Ranger' - it's a West Texas thing. The skies are“
