Alamo Cafe Reviews
Horrible service and food was not great . I'll give it 1 star 🌟 for great tasty tortillas and hostess. 281 location is which we attended today. rude waitress.
Sorry! Just saw star rating section on my computer! I failed to include it with
my recent review. Great food. Great workers. Attentive. Always willing to
help with any thing needed during dining. Thank you Alano!
Sadly, I remember when Alamo Cafe was decent. The tortillas are still great but $70 for truly minuscule portions, fake cheese, and sub-par, way overly seasoned quality is not what I recall.

The Alamo Cafe has had a mixed reputation over the years. While it was once a favorite, recent reviews suggest that the restaurant has faced some challenges. However, many longtime customers still consider it one of the best Tex-Mex places in the 210 area, with good food and service. The fajitas come sizzling on a hot platter, making everyone rethink their order. The menu includes delicious flour tortillas, fish tacos, and other Tex-Mex favorites at reasonable prices of $10-15 per person. Free chips and salsa are offered, along with homemade tortillas that customers love. The staff is attentive and efficient, providing a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Servers like Avery and Angie have received high praise for their friendly and professional service. With two convenient locations—the original on IH10 and Wurzbach and a larger, fancier spot on 281 and Bitters—Alamo Cafe remains a great choice for lunch, dinner, or even a date night. While some inconsistencies remain, the potential for a good meal with great service is always there, especially with dishes like the brisket Quesadilla.
